We stayed in Luxor for a week on the Westbank and we ate here everyday if not twice a day. We came here for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. It's a great local experience and you really feel part of the community dining here, atleast we did after seeing familiar faces everyday. The restaurant is clean, and service is fast by egyptian standards. Breakfast we tried the Egyptian breakfast of beans, bread, salad, falafel, sauce and pickles, omelette and their falafel sandwich. The falafel sandwich was our favourite and we went back for more and more. It's filling cheap and fresh. The juice place next door was also our favourite the sugar cane juice is a must try we also drank this everyday, if not twice. The chicken and meat sandwhich is also tasty. Chef let me try cheese sauce (not to my taste). When I requested my eggplant be warmed on the grill, it was. When I asked, I was given a few more fries. In total, I was served/sold a full handful of french fries.
BAD: I did not ask a price ahead of time and was then overcharged by at least 50%. I was even charged for the tahini sauce. I also watched someone picking up a TO GO order stick their dirty hands into the food used to make customer orders and eat from it...

The local breakfast of bread, falafel, foul medames, pickled veggies, salad an tahina is delicious. So are the sugar cane juice, orange juice and mango juice when in season. Our son who can be a picky eater even chose to come back for a falafel sandwich at lunch time. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an authentic, local breakfast...
