We went during the holy month of ramadan. The place was almost empty at iftar time. The waiter was hospitable and accommodating. The lights were too dimmed to my liking. I assume it was to serve the atmosphere but I felt hazy during my visit. The food was served in time right before maghrib prayer. The food was good even though some of the items were very similar but had different names in the menu. I had higher expectations when it comes the presentation of the food and the overall taste and quality compared to other Lebanese restaurants with similar price point. But there are better options out there with better locations/views/food quality/atmosphere in that segment. What kind of a restaurant with these kind of prices in Zamalek doesn’t have a POS machine. We were shocked. The waiter said that there’s an ATM machine nearby. I guess if there wasn’t one it would have been a big problem. I think the restaurant should inform the guests beforehand and let them decide for themselves. Overall, good experience but not good enough to...
Read moreFood looks nothing like the ones in their photos definitely was not fresh the kofta was little small tiny balls all attached to each other like it was frozen and they just threw it in the oven. ITS ABSOLUTELY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET. I don’t mind paying whatever amount for good food but for a very small quarter kilo Kofta meal that’s not fresh and has no taste and without a drink to almost pay 500 Egyptian pounds is outrageous AND THE FOOD TASTE AND LOOKS HORRIBLE. When you walk in 4 of them rush you like I was going to steal something then he came and asked me to pay before he making the food while I was sitting waiting at the table my if he asked when I was placing the order fine but to leave and come back to ask me to pay was a little awkward even for him he didn’t feel right and it was awkward for him and I seen it in the way he spoke when asking but I will definitely not be going back here again. This is what I paid 450Le for in the photo. AVOID THIS PLACE AND GET A GOOD KOSHREY...
Read moreI came in here with a bit of a queasy belly, and the waiter was so extremely kind, helping me pick out items from the unfamiliar menu that would help soothe me. I accidentally ordered five plates just from all the back and forth about what would be good, and when the first three items came out the portions were so huge that I asked him if he would be able to cancel the rest. He told me he hadn’t put them in yet because he saw I looked a bit sick, and he wanted to see how I felt first. This isn’t waiter automated behavior, this guy gave big Dad energy, and I felt well cared for. On top of all that, the tabbouleh with pomegranate was some of the best I’ve had in my life, the chicken and mushroom soup with orzo was a perfect savory but not heavy meal, and the mint ayran was freshly made and had no thickeners, so perfect taste and consistency. I cannot recommend this place...
