This is what makes me upset.
If i could, i would rate service at 0star because of honesty. Very rude.
I had a burger meal costs $340 egyptian pounds and i paid 400. Keep in mind this is a restaurant in the RICHEST neighbourhood in Cairo, and it is inside a Hotel, so i ASSUME everything should be done systematically and correctly.
Do the math, i should get 60 pounds as change, so after i paid, for some reasons, the waiter named Yousef , for whatever reason, got me only 30 in return. At the beginning i thought it was a mistake, then, he got me another 25 back, and 5 is missing, i instantly felt being disrespected. And so i said where is my 5 pounds, he kept pretending not knowing it, i opened my calculator. Eventually, he took like 5min to get me that 5 pounds. This is the moment i need to stand up for myself especially THIS IS A RESTAURANT IN A HOTEL, NOT A HAWKER nor street food.
I personally dont mind tipping, but NOT IN A WAY YOU TAKE AWAY MY MONEY BY YOURSELF. It was disrespectful and such an uneducated behaviour, i wont even tip half a penny. I wish he gets some education before serving here...
Read moreFrom inside to outside: The patty of tastes good, although the doneness was served unlike my request, The "burger and steak" was recommended to me by the staff, the steak pieces were very stiff and dry. That spoiled the burger. Worst of all, chips and salsa, some soggy, some stiff, some very oily, When the manager asked how things were, I told him about the chips, he said that's normal, when two chips stick together they get oily. I stepped back and thanked him. Not the best experience for me in a supposedly gourmet burger place. The patty taste was good, the salsa dip of the chips was very good, the staff were friendly and the coke was in a bottle glass, nice and cold. The rest, you know. Thanks for reading and sorry for the...
Read moreIf you don’t eat burgers, for sure it’s better for you to avoid places like this, not even being sitting there with your friends. So strange. They have a few restaurants at one cozy square, but it’s strictly forbidden to take coffee from one cafe and sit at the other. They have rules. But they don’t have an atmosphere. I was confused the second time by the question do you want to sit here or there, because at the entrance you can’t differentiate the places, it’s like one space. But they didn’t allowed me to drink my coffee on the left side of that space... I’m sure I won’t be back to the Butcher’s, but guys from the 30 North were so kind with me, if my next time happens I’ll stay...
