McDonald's Luxor — Restaurant in Luxor City

I'm not going to lie, Egyptian McDonalds is way better than Canadian or even American McDonalds. Somehow the chicken in the chicken sandwiches is real--- and not over processed. And the tomatoes are not sad and lifeless. These chicken burgers are succulent, and huge. The sauce has a good amount of spice, and the service is fast and impeccable. In a cultural context where sometimes time is not always of the essence, McDonalds Luxor never once let us down. They were fast. They dealt with huge lines. They managed to deal with a mix of foreigners at once, some of who believed in queuing and some of who did not. They appreciated my horrible fus7a :D. I wish I could give them 20 stars. Best place to sit inside to see Luxor temple— akin to the Pizza Hut across the Sphinx and Giza Pyramids. We normally don’t eat restaurants we can get back home but we were tired from sightseeing and hungry. There are 3 kiosks to order from. With a family of 5, browsing the kiosk’s menu took a long time because not everyone can see the menu at the same time so each person had to go up and look. It took a little longer than normal to get the food, but they brought it upstairs to us. I jokingly said that they put together the burger just like at home, throw in all the ingredients so that my burger leaned to one side. McDonald's isn't really on my places to eat list when travelling and rarely ever visited, but luxor being a very small city with limited fast food choices this was a must visit stop.

The food was actually good, the self service machines didn't really work with my card but I was able to visit the cashier with my order who was able to process the payment with the card.

Didn't wait long and the staff brought food to the table - on the third floor.

Burgers were good as well as the nuggets and chicken strips. I even got the cheese cake which was nice.

The Oreo shake was actually just ice cream with crushed Oreo on top.

Overall I would recommend it...
