As Neapolitan pizza enjoyers, my sister and I wanted to check out what Tallin’s best pizzeria (according to 50 Top Pizza) had to offer. We were not disappointed and enjoyed our meal - we ordered Parma e Stracciatella and Prosciutto e Funghi. Taste was fantastic, the tomato sauce was completely perfect. The dough was also fantastic, the crust fluffy just the right way. My only complaint was the fact that my pizza was slightly burnt. I understand that some slight burnt taste is to be expected since it’s made in wood fired oven, however the pizza base was a bit too burnt and did affect the taste just a bit, I would recommend paying more attention to that (in my workplace, also a Neapolitan pizzeria, we would definitely not serve that). Tiramisu was pretty okay, I found the cream to be too sweet but it might just be personal preferences. Otherwise we enjoyed our dinner and would love to return another time when we visit Tallin...
Read moreI came to have dinner by myself, asked where to sit, was told anywhere, took a small table. Ten min later the waiter apologized and asked me to change table so a bigger party of 4 could move tables together. I said no problem and moved. I then asked for recommendations, regarding the main following my Caesar salad, Would you recommended this pasta or that pasta dish ? Waiter was shocked I planned to order a Secondi ('Are you THAT hungry?!') and told me 'the salad is big and filling'. I trusted him and was excited. It came and it was everything but. Easily the smallest Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Also, it was bland because the chef forgot the garlic, the lemon, and the anchovies in the dressing, so basically the whole point of that particular dish. I paid and left still hungry. I recommend the staff not to give diet advice to guests, it makes us less inclined to eat at...
Read moreWe accidentally found out about this trattoria located in the Old Town. We came without any expectations and were completely shocked by this gem! We ordered 2 pizzas (Diavola and Salame piccante e Gorgonzola), with rather classic drinks: Aperol and tomato juice. The thing that was pleasant about the drinks is that they were classically made without a diluted taste. As for the food: Diavola was spicy (for someone unprepared it may even be 6-7 points of spicy on a scale of 10), Gorgonzola was just spicy enough for the creamy flavor to still stand out. Both pizzas had a well balanced taste and were made from quality ingredients with an excellent combination of the thinnest dough (attached photo) and the amount of toppings. The crust was well-baked, puffy and with a distinct leopard pattern. We will definitely come back to try other dishes. Thanks for a...
