Om.house — Restaurant in Tallinn

Food was really great, service fast, and the bar as good as you can wish combined with a modern atmosphere. Compared to the expeperience we had dining here I'd say that Tomi Björks fine dining restaurants in Helsinki are a mere copy of what you can get here. Also the prices are affordable, unlike in Helsinki. I already gave 5 starts for the experience before leaving.

However the whole experience was ruined when we left off. When we arrived, we had our jackets taken by somebody, politely, to a general clothes cabin managed by the staff. We were not instructed to do anything else nor were given options really. It's common restaurants don't want jackets in the dining area. Since we had a reservation beforehand I expected they placed a marker of some kind to put the jackets on our names. By the time we left we found out that it was our responsibility to find the jackets in the cabinet, the person on the door was clueless of our belongings. Now the cabinet was full, unlike when we arrived, and since we did not place the jackets personally in the cabinet it was difficult to find them. In addition the person at the door could not speak English nor Finnish which is very uncommon in Estonia. As a result me nor the staff were unable to find a jacket for my 110cm tall child. When they started to have more queue the person at the door decided to give up and point to a sign within the cabinet door which stated the restaurant is not responsible for clothes left at the cabinet. I mean come on that was he's response to losing a jacket of a 3 year old when it's freezing outside.

I got furious and after understanding he did not understand a word I said I decided to turn to the rest of the staff and demanded to pay us back the whole bill. After this the manager came a long. She found the jacket instantly. I do not know what went wrong: is it because the person at the door did not understand what I was looking because of language issues or because it takes the brains of a female to find a small jacket. But the idiotic response to the situation by the staff is a thing I expect an apology far. I still cannot comprehend that how can somebody treat a 3 year old kid like a drunk smug on a budget nightclub,...

I love the foos and drinks there but sadly everytime i've been there the service has been so slow. Once i had to wait for my bill for an hour. Nobody cleans tables when you finish your drinks. Last time i went there we had few cocktails, we finished them and wanted to order some wine. We were sitting at our table for 2 hours with empty glasses and no one came to us. So it finally became a self-service restaurant where you have to run around and find somebody to take your order. It's not even servers fault.. we saw how tired all the workers are and how much they are running around. This is not a normal work enviorment if you dont hire enough people to work there on friday nights. Also no one would notice if you walked out without paying because after you're first drinks you've been forgotten by the staff. I kept going there because i really hoped that the owner sees the problem since it's a common thing there but sadly it keeps getting worse everytime i go there. Sad to see that a place with so much potential doesn't care about quality of customer service. And again the staff was really nice but there's clearly not...

This is the second time I got to Tallinn. I have a grate self-care trip this time and I really enjoy it. Until I realized that I dropped my wallet somewhere but voilà, I’m on my way to get back to Finland. But some how I remember the name ‘Om’ where I’ve been for the first time and got a wonderful drink. I was freaking out and called for Finnish police then called for the bank blabla. Then I searched your place and contact with your staff to ask about my wallet, and omg they’re very very very nice to keep my wallet safe (thank god 🙏) the blonde lady was super nice even when I stayed there and asked for charge my phone. She and another guy staff still waiting for me to take my wallet back til midnight and they looked soooo tired after their shift (I can understand cause I also a waitress) and even offer me a cup of water n they made me cry 😭 I just wanna say you got super nice staff and kind hearted 🥺 Thank you guys, you made my day.
