During Tallinn Restaurant Week, I had the pleasure of dining at OTTO Restaurant, tucked inside the charming von Stackelberg Hotel. For just €35, I enjoyed a beautifully crafted three-course menu that felt both refined and comforting.
Starter: A Japanese-style salmon—light, fresh, and elegantly balanced. A perfect beginning. Main: The star of the meal—slow-cooked pork cheek, tender and rich, served with thoughtful sides that elevated every bite. Dessert: A pavlova that truly surprised me—the best I’ve ever had. Crisp on the outside, soft inside, topped with berries and cream that tasted like celebration.

We ordered the cheese and meats platter to start, and this was tasty, but definitely quantity over quality - very cheap cheeses, which all seemed a variation on a basic white hard cheese.
My main, pork cheeks, were well cooked but the sauce was very over-reduced. It made everything taste bitter and salty, almost to the point of not being able to eat it.
The restaurant itself was cosy and could be a lovely spot with a bit...
