During Tallinn Restaurant Week, I had the pleasure of dining at OTTO Restaurant, tucked inside the charming von Stackelberg Hotel. For just €35, I enjoyed a beautifully crafted three-course menu that felt both refined and comforting. - Starter: A Japanese-style salmon—light, fresh, and elegantly balanced. A perfect beginning. - Main: The star of the meal—slow-cooked pork cheek, tender and rich, served with thoughtful sides that elevated every bite. - Dessert: A pavlova that truly surprised me—the best I’ve ever had. Crisp on the outside, soft inside, topped with berries and cream that tasted like celebration. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and the service was warm and attentive. OTTO isn’t just a hotel restaurant—it’s a place where flavors are treated with care and guests feel genuinely welcomed.

Otto's was my first disappointing restaurant in Tallinn. It looks lovely, and has potential but needs a bit of work to be a great meal. We were seated but then seemingly forgotten, with no menus arriving until we chased for them. Our host wasn't sure which of the two wines on offer were red or white. We ordered the cheese and meats platter to start, and this was tasty, but definitely quantity over quality - very cheap cheeses, which all seemed a variation on a basic white hard cheese. My main, pork cheeks, were well cooked but the sauce was very over-reduced. It made everything taste bitter and salty, almost to the point of not being able to eat it. The restaurant itself was cosy and could be a lovely spot with a bit of training.

A nice place to chit chat in a warm and cozy environment. Service was okay, lady server was nice and I felt her warm energy. Ordered the Risotto con Funghi and it wasn’t too bad but nothing too special or worth mentioning. I ordered the Pork Cheeks and Omg it was anazing! The meat flakes apart effortlessly at the mere nudge of a fork, as shown in the video. The flavor is deeply porcine—intensely meaty yet subtly sweet—elevated by the slow cooking that transforms toughness into this delicate, fall-apart bliss. This is really a must try in the restaurant. Overall I enjoyed my experience in the restaurant

If I could give the experience a flat zero, I would. The restaurant were notified in advance about the menu, yet the risotto they served was inedible. They didn't have an alternative main for vegetarians, so I ordered mussels that were only slightly less salty. The service was beyond sluggish and both the original order and the replacement took ages to arrive. I asked for a refund due to the all—around shoddy experience. The manager? Liina offered to pay but made a point mentioning that she would do so from her own pocket (presumably to evoke sufficient sympathy to deter me from pursuing it further). She then contacted the host of the evening and complained about it. I know that customer service in Estonia leaves to be desired, but this makes it to the top three in...
