The most rude experience in town. A man - who seemed to be the owner - took our order for 2 drafts beers and came to charge us imediately with the credit card machine. I told him " We´d prefer to pay all together at the end, because we´ll choose something more later." -as in any restaurant with waiters serving the tables
The grumpy answer was: "No, you have to pay now. A lot of tables today! I´ll not remember what you ordered, people can leave without paiyng."
Really? Is it my duty to manage his restaurant? Don´t they have a system to manage orders and payments? What the hell? We are in 2023 you don´t have to REMEMBER the orders, you should have a system to manage it, for God sake.
The bright side is that being that rude he spared me to order something more from this place.
Also his decision of make us pay right away seemed to be extremelly arbitrary, other tables didn´t seem to follow the same "rule".Maybe because we ordered only beer? Maybe because we are allegedly turists? I´m not sure, but the whole thing was just pathetic.
The fun fact is that it feelt like he feelt free to treat us like this because we´d never come back, however even been foreigners, we...
Read moreDespite a negative comment of my friends who had visited Rae on the Valentine's day, I visited this restaurant last week for dinner. I am vegan, but went there to accompany a friend who wished to try out this relatively new place. There is only one 100% vegan option which is cold stewed veggies (about 100g) for starter and that's it. Alright, maybe the restaurant is not meant for vegans, I understand. But my veggies were soaked and drowned in oil...
The waitress assured me that buckwheat with mushrooms was vegan, but it was drowned in cream, I'm 100% sure it came from a cow. (and same old oil).. On the picture i posted you'll see my dish and duck salad that my friend had ordered...
I didn't like the service, it was quite "cold" and indifferent. Nothing bad to say, but nothing good either.
Why am I giving 3 stars though I didn't like the place? - all the credits go to the interior design. That was awesome.
Perhaps worth going for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine to enjoy the ambiance, nothing more. P.s. they don't have plant milk, so vegans drink options are also...
Read moreWe went there to eat food the first day we arrived at Tallinn and absolutely the worst experience ever!!!! The water costed 3,5 euros, when I asked the waiter how much water costs, he got angry and upset at me and said:" can you not read? It is on the menu!". then he threw the menu at me. So rude! We ordered fish and chips, fish was not fresh and it was broken when served. Horrible service and expensive price! 19 euro for fish and chips! And we got to know later that the restaurant besides has much better fish and chips for...
