This restaurant does not deserve the name they have. It's an insult to Tchaikovsky and Russian Cuisine.
We love classical music, in particular Tchaikovsky and we love Russian food and were very excited to celebrate my wife's birthday here but it turned out to be a disaster.
No classical music playing in the restaurant.
Our waiters were unpleasant and unprofessional which made us want to leave as soon as possible. Even when we came back the next day to speak with a manager the main waiter kept saying he was in charge which was untrue. We had to ask him 3 times to talk to a manager.
They have an arrogance and a smirk and no desire to listen or help resolve issues.
He shattered a glass all over the floor and did not clean it up all the way as we and other guests had glass under the table during the whole meal, stepping on glass. In addition our waiter dropped one of the dishes all over our table and it actually hit the wall!! Then put napkins all over our table to cover it up! My wife was wearing a very expensive custom made white dress so this made the meal stressful as the dish was red and would have completely ruined the dress. She was very nervous the whole time.
There was a wedding party next to us that was standing during our whole meal and kids running around which again made the meal experience very unpleasant.
Sadly the food was tasteless, it was very bland but that was not our biggest concern. We did not eat all the food.
We asked the manager for a partial refund due to all the disasters. Her response was that we didn't mention all of our concerns right away after dinner, and since we waited till the next day to let her know she will not refund anything.
This place is not professional they don't deserve Mitchelin recommendations.
Due to all the issues we just had a very expensive, stressful, unpleasant and upsetting birthday dinner that was ruined by the staff, and even more upset with how the manager delt with the situation after the fact.

Read moreWe visited Restaurant Tchaikovsky on Saturday, May 2nd, at 6:00 PM to celebrate my 40th birthday with 12 of my closest friends. We were looking forward to an evening of exquisite food and excellent service, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be a great disappointment.
We opted for the restaurant's five-course menu with a paired wine package, but the meal stretched over three and a half hours—far beyond what is reasonable for this type of service. Several of the courses were delayed for an unnecessary amount of time, and on multiple occasions, we had to go to the bar ourselves to get drinks, as the waiters did not follow up. We raised our concerns early with the waiter, but the response was minimal. Only after bringing it up again were we informed that the kitchen had insufficient capacity that evening, and we were offered an extra round of wine as compensation.
One of the most striking details was the use of a measuring glass to portion the wine before pouring it into our glasses—an unusual practice that reinforced the impression of minimal generosity. Despite the restaurant’s reputation, we left the place both hungry and thirsty after what was supposed to be a high-class dining experience.
Unfortunately, Restaurant Tchaikovsky did not live up to expectations, and we cannot recommend the place based on...
Read moreI was a member of a bigger group, and we had sent our orders beforehand, so that the visit would be as smooth as possible. Throughout the evening, there were difficulties with the allergies and special diets. It isn't a nice feeling to have to question whether the food is something you can eat during dinner.
The drinks were served at weird timing, some of our group members got their wine order at main course, and had only water during the starters. There were some other misunderstandigs with the drinks as well. I had requested sparkling water, but at some point it changed to still water (the waiter poured still water into a glass where was already sparkling water). Some people had to wait their food orders longer than others.
The customer service was rude. When asked if we were to have desserts, the waiter answered "It is what it is". At that point we had been there over three hours, and the restaurant wasn't even near to being full of other customers. Additionally, when we asked the waiter to guide us through the dish, he answered in other language (I think Polish?), knowing that we were a group that spoke English.
The food was quite good, but I still wonder about the...
