Visited here by chance when in the city just for a day. We were in the area and went by the rating and we were not disappointed! We both ordered a cafe mocha and a ciabatta with mozzarella and tomato. Maybe when you live in Europe this is just a coffee and a sandwich but we found it to be the best coffee and sandwich we've ever eaten. In our trips to subsequent cities, we then tried to find somewhere that would meet the standards set by cafe Java! Big selection of fresh foods, cakes, coffees etc. Staff were very friendly and despite being busy, the service was quick. It's true that you really do get the best coffee in Finland!

As a loyal customer i went to CafĂ© Java because I wanted to buy two entire big cakes as I had a dinner with many guests . When I went in, there were four clients wearing this Israeli flag and who was working didn’t say anything to them , not even the minimal sentence like” due to the actual circumstances and for the respect of people dying every day , we don’t allow any kind of Flag “ . Of course in front of this indifferent attitude from the staff , I left without buying anything and from today Cafe Java is in the list of the place to avoid at every costs !

A great cafe at the corner of the architecturally renowned Lasipalatsi, in the heart of Helsinki. Friendly service in Finnish and English. A latte would've been cheap in the morning (special offer) but I needed a stronger and bigger coffee. Lots of delicious savoury and sweet pastries. I went for a turkey and cheese roll - a very good choice. A lovely terrace with a lot of flowers. Also the seagull problem is solved with fishing lines fixed above the terrace.

Our family of 7 had a bite to eat here and - not a fan. Great pina colada, but price they charged was higher than what it said on the chalkbord upstairs (this should be corrected to avoid misleading the customers). Server mumbled something about winter and summer prices but still charged the higher price. The milkshake was milk and sugar. Macha latte was great and so was the red velvet cake. Spinach-feta quiche was average but the green salad with tzatziki topping kind of balanced it out. Service is friendly, music is mellow, plenty of room and popular with the snazzy 20-something locals. Overall a chill experience but with...
