Espresso House Kamppi Helsinki — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Espresso house is a specialty coffee chain which has recently opened a few outlets in the Helsinki area. I visited the one located in Kamppi on a Saturday afternoon. The place is so nicely decorated with a rainforest/jungle theme that it is impossible to miss. The line for ordering was a bit long but the waiting time was relatively short. The staff seemed to have been properly trained as the girl at the cashier was quick at suggesting me to try their flat white double espresso coffee (4.40 euros) (she gave the whole description of the beverage but I got lost in translation _

Espresso house is a bit special place. Despite the coffee quality is not the best for sure. In fact it is quite similar to other international coffee franchises such as Starbucks. But there is an important detail; here there is generally lots of space, and socket connectors everywhere, standing tables, sofas, conventional tables and with a nice environment decoration with low light atmosphere. So it is a good place if you wanted to work from there with your laptop, or read a book and chilling specially on winter dark times. From the warm coffee they offer the "chai latte" is quite tasty, and for cold one frapinos are generally good (but sugary).

Be sure to take the coffee card or application for espresso house, at least you will get a good discount, specially if you come often there.

Rudest woman behind the counter charged me top dollar in euro, then gave me the totally wrong order, then told me I ordered a vanilla late, instead of a strawberry-vanilla FRAPINO, I know there is a language barrier but rudeness is worldwide, and having travelled many city's and places in Europe to find the rude persona from this attendant its totally changed my view on this weekend, I hope I can go somewhere else in Heldinki and find some nice people.. I've put a picture of her busily being rude to other customers.. I will never be back I hope this helps others avoid this type of reception from this person.. customer service is ket in hospitality.. this person has zero.. i wish I could give negative stars.. Yes I am angry.. I hope the owners see this and act...
