I write this review as someone who has never eaten at a tapas place more than once and am not much familiar with how things "should be" ;
After ending up in the pricier area of Helsinki in search for food, my friend noticed a respectable-looking sidestreet where we stopped at this place for food.
I ordered a set dish from the menu, the Seleccion Hombre, rather than the lunch offer. The food itself was a decent portion with a fair price, given the general trend of pricing in Helsinki, with excellent quality. We ordered the everGreen drink twice over, delicious each time.
Staff were helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome and engaged in casual conservation as service levels allowed.
Unlike other reviews, we didn't make it on a day that hosted or was witness to any music or entertainment, but it made a great place to sit and relax for some time.
Overall, wonderful area away from the bustle of the main streets, with equally as wonderful service, staff and the food quality was superb. Would certainly recommend trying it at least once; I'll certainly visit again before my stay in...
Read moreQuite mixed feelings: This place has a nice location, looks pretty good on the inside and staff is friendly, but some overall improvement is needed to match authentic Spanish tapas restaurants.
Helsinki may be far away from Spain, that would have been an excuse 20 years ago, but no longer in 2020. Menu overall is quite limited. Tortilla looks ok, but quite little taste. Ham is far away from the best iberico you can buy on the market and overall level of spiciness and taste is below average. This is a shame, as the concept is nice and the place has all the potential...
