The food here is incredible! 100 stars out of ten! First, I was pleasantly surprised that Restaurant La Famiglia served non-alcholic wine!! I have to order a special bottle and have it shipped to me back in the States. The Blanc by Henkell was fantastic. My fiancé and I ordered the "selection due" for a starter, which I have to say is hand down the best charcuterie ensemble I have ever had... And I have had my fair share of fine cheeses and their accompaniments! I could keep you all day going through each and every item..just order it. You won't be disappointed by anything on that board!

My fiancé ordered the Carnosa Pizze and myself, the Pasta Carbonara. We shared a little of each other's meals, and we could not stop talking about how delicious it was. The carbonara, light, creamy, pancetta, and linguine were cooked to perfection. In the States, our pizza is normally cut... We felt foolish asking for it to be sliced, not knowing if that was a rude request. The attentive staff member took it back to be sliced without a glimpse of it being a rude request. We asked if it's normal to come out that way, and he gladly responded to us, yes, but we can do it anyway you'd like. All of the staff was warm, friendly, attentive, quick, and eager to help. We have been to many restaurants in Helsinki on this trip, and this is definitely the best experience all around that we've had.

I visited with a friend on a Friday evening without reservation. The service was very pleasant and we got our food rather quickly. While we were waiting, we got complimentary bread which was nice and tasted fresh and delicious. The main course was amazing! We both had chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce. The portion size was a bit on the smaller side, but if you're going to have an appetizer or dessert or both, you'll surely be more than satisfied. Unfortunately they had sold out the fish option, that my friend would have liked. We were informed of this as soon as we got handed out menus, and we were offered the option to have the dish with salmon rather than the whitefish. Again, extremely good service. The recommended white wine with the dish was also great. I don't know much about wine, but it was easy to finish the bottle. We had some salted caramel and vanilla ice cream for dessert. The scoops were generous and came with a topping of choice. We both highly recommend either of the flavours, my mouth is watering thinking about them. All in all, great service, delicious food and a very nice location. The price was also decently proportioned to the quality of the meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant! Whether you're going on a date or visiting as a larger group, they can accommodate. I will absolutely...

Very odd dim-witted staff. We arrived with a two year old and were seated quickly and food arrived in a timely fashion. All fine with food - generic inoffensive Italian as expected. Two year old was full of beans, so tricky enough meal, eating with one hand, the usual, that's how it goes.

Turns out though, there was a lovely small kids play area not more than 10 metres away around with two empty tables right beside it! The first waitress didn't think to suggest this area for us to sit and neither did the waiter who served us (did give colouring pencils though). I would suggest the management look to train their staff a little better as the two sleep-walking half-wits who attended to us didn't seem to make this obvious connection between a play area and a lively toddler. We would have stayed longer and ordered more and all had a more enjoyable occasion had we been sat there.

If you're going with kids who might enjoy this area, make sure to ask if this area is free when booking or walk-in.
