I was very excited to try this place during my one day visit to Aix as it was recommended to me and spoken highly of. When myself and my partner arrived, we were greeted warmly and seated. After we chose what we wanted though, it wasn’t until nearly an hour later, that our order was taken. It was a very busy day so i can understand the delay however there were 3 other tables that had arrived around 20-30 minutes after us that had their orders taken first AND their meals served before us. Even the table next to us that had arrived around the time we finally had our orders taken, had their food served before us… Another table noticed this also and even made a comment to us that this was quite bizarre. It was pretty frustrating as no one had checked on us or even looked to see if all was okay. The food was nice, colourful and healthy but it seemed a bit rushed for us. Didn’t hit the spot. The atmosphere was fun and buzzing but at times a bit too loud and busy and by being seated 30 cm away from the next people, it just felt a bit too squishy.. not the mention getting in and out of the door was also not easy with people standing anywhere and everywhere. A bit disappointing overall but i do believe this was just a one off and that they’re usually...
Read moreI used Google reviews to find Tita when relaxing at a book shop nearby. We reserved online and arrived 25 minutes later. We were greeted by who we learned to be the owner and little later on and were sat at a lovely table near the hubbub of the kitchen. Normally I would opt for a different location but this was awesome. We were coached on what to try and how to enjoy our meal in the best possible way by the same lady that sat us down. Our order went in and we enjoyed a citronade while we waited. Ten minutes later, we were presented with a beautiful fresh salad and a huge bowl of humus and chicken shawarma. Two lovey warm pita’s also accompanied those big bowls. After we finished our meal the owner returned to our table and we had a great chat about how she came to Aix and how starting with a food truck became this wonderful bright clean and cheerful restaurant. After our chat we got some advice about a desert. 5 minutes later a panna cota with pistachios and a rose water syrup arrived and we kicked ourselves for only ordering one to share. If you knowingly recognize this as a second to none lunch option in Aix and you don’t go, you are a fool! Go go go go… Our best wishes to the team at Tita. The...
Read moreWe were there on a saturday evening, as far as we understood, on saturdays they always serve "formules" for dinner. It's basically lots of different absolutely delicious food (vegetables, sauces etc) and pita bread as a side.
There were just a few things, which could be improved. Firstly we booked a table and they asked "outside or inside?" and we booked a table for outside. When we arrived (on time), they gave us a table inside and said it's fully booked outside... We then also waited a little long for someone to take our order, while others arriving after us were ordering already. It would also be great to just have a little note on the table, describing the formules, so you know what to expect. The last thing is that we pretty much didn't see a single table finishing the food, because it's a lot! Of course you can take it with you, but a lot also ends up in the trash... so we think it would be great to have a little smaller portions😅
But once again, we have to give five stars. The food was an...
