La Cantina Cannes — Restaurant in Grasse

Don't get me wrong here, the food was good and the pricing is ok for Cannes. The delivery of the main courses was fast and the waitresses were friendly.

Anyhow there is a reservation option on this very site, i reserved a table for 9 people a day prior, only to be told on arrival that the restaurant did not receive an online reservation. I showed the manager the option on his google site and the mail and sms i received for confirmation. He insisted in not the friendliest tone that they do not take online reservations from any sites and that the site i used (google maps) was probably a scam.

We received a table anyway after i insisted which was what was to be expected, i believe if we would have been 15 to 30 minutes later in the day they would have turned us away.

The Manager gave me the impression of feeling like he did us a favor by giving us a table.

My remark to google is that the reservation option should be removed from the restaurant as they claim that...

For a restaurant in a touristic area in cannes, this place is amazing !! The food is great the service too, its a very nice restaurant with great decoration. For starter i would suggest The tartine mozza jambon de parme, and for the main dish the Risotto de Gambas that tastes like heaven. The prices are really reasonable and the portions more than sufficient. I would strongly recommend you come check...

J’espère que mon commentaire pourra permettre à ce restaurant de mettre en place quelques solutions afin de s’améliorer … Pour un vendredi soir le restaurant était vide… 1 seule table occupée en vitrine.. mais j’ai immédiatement compris pourquoi. Il y a un réel soucis d’odeur et d’hygiène … Dès mon arrivé je me suis dirigé vers les sanitaires et à ma grande surprise dans la salle arrière du restaurant, un cuisinier était assis devant les toilettes avec son téléphone plutôt que d’être en cuisine … j’ai trouvé cela très étrange… Puis les sanitaires étaient vraiment sales… De retour à la table, une odeur nauséabonde s’est installée… je pense que les restaurateurs ont tentés de la dissimuler par de l’encens puis un parfum très fort… c’est à ce moment là que nous avons décider de partir…. Nous n’avons vraiment pas apprécié sentir cette puanteur … nous n’arrivions pas à savoir si c’était à cause d’un soucis de ventilation ou de nourriture pourrie… Dans tous les cas peut être il aurait été souhaitable de ne pas recevoir de publique dans ces conditions… Je pense que ce restaurant qui est pourtant bien décoré pourrait s’améliorer avec un bon coup de nettoyage ….. et un personnel un peu...
