Ignore at all cost, thank me later! Had the most disappointing experience ever in my life. Been travelling South of France for a week now and in even more expensive places but never ever seen something like this in my life. Before we came here, 2 weeks ago I called the restaurant from London and made a reservation for lunch but for the beach they said you need to come in the morning and will depend on the availability( beach boy will assist). The day before our reservation, they called me to confirm our reservation and i asked again about the beach, they said come at 10:30 as we don’t take reservations. In the morning we woke up really early to come from Monaco to Cannes and to get our hotel and go to La mome. We were there at 10:40 and guess what? The extremely rude and arrogant two women at reception treated us like we were beggars and said there is no availability although it was empty as we arrived early. We told them that we were told you don’t take reservations and we should come early to avoid disappointment and they said no you need to come few days before to make reservations and that we are fully booked! We told them that we already have lunch reservations but before that we want sunbeds but they didn’t even seem to care at all! My partner who speaks french tried to speak to them very politely and ask if they could give us space but No they were just the most arrogant people i have met in hospitality. Bear in mind sunbed prices are €100 per person which we were willing to pay but they just seem to have adapted mykonos vibes maybe and want tips to give you seats. Also not to forget they did not even for once apologise for this. We told them that we had not made any other alternative plans and it is very inconvenient but no they were just unbothered! I said we won’t come for lunch either then and they were again unbothered and cancelled our lunch reservation with a poker face. Not to forget mentioning that they were whispering and laughing among each other. If you read the reviews you will see how many reviews are there about these rude receptionist. At least i am glad we were not the only people being treated this poorly. But you know what? We came to Carlton hotel beach instead were treated with respect and by polite hospitality, swam in the exact same sea, had a better food and experienced a great service. If you are coming to Cannes and don’t want to start your day with such awful experiences, just avoid this place and stay in peace...
Read moreI am writing to express my deepest disappointment and frustration with my recent visit to your restaurant. First and foremost, I must emphasize that the food was delicious. However, this positive experience was completely overshadowed by an incredibly unpleasant and unprofessional service.
Two months ago, we contacted your restaurant and provided a clear description of our planned visit. We emphasized our desire for an extended stay and were looking forward to spending a relaxing time in your establishment. Regrettably, this request was entirely disregarded and even denied when we arrived.
Right from the start, we were informed that we were only allowed to stay until 10 PM. This was a shock as we were previously assured of a different arrangement. But that's not all; the waitstaff put us under pressure from the moment we sat down, urging us to place our orders hastily, and we could feel them rushing us to finish our meal. It was extremely uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome.
Following a lengthy and frustrating discussion, during which we attempted to explain that we had already arranged for a longer stay, we were almost accused of lying. Even when we presented the emails confirming the extended stay, the acknowledgment we received was only half-hearted, without a proper apology for the misunderstanding or the stress we had to endure.
The entire incident ruined our evening, and instead of enjoying a leisurely dinner, we felt stressed and uneasy. It is regrettable that your staff was unable to handle the situation professionally and chose to place the blame on us as guests.
Of course, we understand that you have your rules, but we would have appreciated being informed in advance about the two-hour time limit per table. Had we known this, we would have made our reservation for 10 o'clock, and everything would have been fine.
Hoping that you will strive to improve your service quality in the future, I remain with...
Read moreHello, We came to La Môme for a special birthday lunch on the 4th September and it was a rainy day. We were contacted 10mn before our reservation to ask us if we would like to cancel but we had almost arrived and we always come to La môme for special occasions and it was too late for us to look for somewhere else. They told us it would be ok as there’s big umbrellas and it wouldn’t be a problem. As soon as we got there we sensed an atmosphere with staff looking at each other with long faces and really not making us feel welcome. There was only three tables and about 20 staff all looking very fed up and hanging around in little groups chatting. We ordered aperitifs and the starters arrived at the same time. The plates were whisked away almost in seconds after putting our cutlery down and it was the same for the main course and the dessert. We finally paid the bill and left after a record time of 1 hour 15mn without anyone noticing us going and no goodbyes. This timing is what I would expect for a quick lunch break from the office not a nice relaxing lunch celebrating. I would like to add that the food was up to the usual standard but feel cheated by the “discount” service. There obviously wasn’t a discount on our bill and we felt totally let down and depressed as it spoiled the birthday celebration. We love this restaurant but not sure we’ll be back. I would have preferred you to tell us it’s closed and we would have gone somewhere that appreciated us as clients and made us...
