I don't understand the poor reviews at all. Everything here is exceptional, especially for a store cafe.
The service is very friendly and attentive, especially for France, which can be disappointing to fast-paced Americans who dont want to have a drink/smoke/convo before and after eating.
The cocktails are exceptional. The Cafe Freddo espresso martini is amazing and reasonably priced for the Riviera... certainly cheaper than LA or NYC. The coffees are some of the best in France. They use real fresh milk and strong italian espresso. The cakes are amazing, and they're very photo worthy if you're into that. More importantly, they are delicious and well plated. They use rich chocolates, lemon creams, and fresh berries and currants.
The breakfast is served until 11 am on the dot. Of course, sometimes they run out of pastries by 10:59, but they make delicious "avocado toast" perfectly poached eggs on a small bit of crustless bread with avocado. This comes with your choice of salmon or bacon, which they generously pile on, and the bacon is perfectly crispy. The value for the price is unbeatable on the cannes promenade. Any other restaurants charge the same or more and have much lower quality food, drinks, and coffee (looking at you, Carlton).
I've never required a reservation for breakfast or lunch. Even during major crowds and events.
Wonderful aperitivo/aperitif. I tried the nighclubbing 1981 cognac cocktail, and it was phenomenal.
The people watching is hilarious. Some of these 1 Star reviewers are taking Instagrams and then having meltdowns, lol. Plenty of old and young people from all over the world. Very chill vibes
The only downside is that there had been ongoing road construction with jackhammers for the past 4 weeks, and sometimes, I can not get a table...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE… Having high expectations is not always the best thing. Armani caffé didn’t meet ours at all. To begin with our waiter who seemed annoyed by the fact that he had to serve two girls which are obviously not extremely rich. His annoyance continued because of the fact we visited only for some coffee and sweets, not to order half of the menu. He served our orders and didn’t visit our table anymore. We put our glasses and plates at the corner of the table which is an obvious sign we don’t need them anymore on the table but he was cleaning every other table except ours. It was more than obvious that he did that purposely. We were forced to stand and ask him for the bill since he didn’t even wanted to look our way. His behaviour was discriminatory and we don’t recommend you going there if you don’t look like you own a big fortune because the staff is obviously allergic to normal people. To continue with the fact that neither my “armani coffee” contained coffee, nor the dessert was tasty. I would like to inform more people about the other side of this fancy looking place and consider going...
Read moreThe short blonde lady (waitress) was absolutely rude and twice! First time was when i was talking to her in English she replied to my question then left straight away as I was about to order and went to see another table’s order. The second time was when I asked for the bill, she brought it and I asked for the machine to pay with and she said OK but she went to another table AGAIN ti let them pay for the bill by machine although we asked for it but her look at us was definitely not a nice one but I don’t know why! Maybe because my wife was wearing a veal (Hejab) and was the only one but definitely a bad service from her side and another waiter had to come and get the machine for us to pay! I know that Armani Cafe has another branch in Dubai but I surely hope that they don’t have such a rude and MAYBE “racist” staff in Dubai because I believe so many customers will be wearing Hejab out there in Dubai. Other than that, the order was right and the food was okay but nothing...
