Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière — Restaurant in Grasse

This was the most disappointing experience in France. The service was atrocious and one of the staff members was the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with in the service industry. After being seated, we wait 25 mins without acknowledgement or eye contact from any servers. I watched three tables seated after us be served in the meantime. When my frustration and annoyance boiled over, I approached a more senior looking staff member only to be told to ‘calm down’ and that it ‘wasn’t his responsibility’ despite not having raised my voice or done anything other than express my dissatisfaction at having been ignored. No apology, no acknowledgement and the audacity to tell me to ‘calm down’. That was disgusting in my opinion

As I walked away saying I was done with the rudeness and leaving due to his behavior, he loudly and repeated yelled after me to ‘calm down’ causing onlookers to even notice. This was embarrassing and frankly a disservice to the wonderful French hospitality this country afforded us at every other establishment we visited. Wouldn’t recommend this place to any other travelers who expect to be treated...

Reserved a table for 6 with a baby. When we got there, there was a bouncer at the top of the stairs who stopped us and said, 'whoa whoa where are you going?' Already made us feel not welcome. They sat us in the only table in the sun with at least 10-15 other tables of the same size open and empty under the shade. Before we even sat down we asked to be sat in shade for the baby who was getting obviously pink and hot, the host said no the other tables are reserved. It has been 1 hour and 15 minutes and no other tables have been sat there. Very poor customer service. Had to ask for water 4 times before he brought it, as we were sweating so bad. Asked for ice for the baby and he never brought it. Got a gaspacho and they didn't give us spoons. Went to Maema last night and had SO much better service. And food so far. So I have visited here last September and saw a really horrific scene. Restaurant seats are outside of the restaurant kitchen. Then there are beach seats. System seems to be that to deliver to the beach seats, there needs to he the middle station. Food gets brought to that in-between station on the beach and gets left there. If the beach server isn't there to watch for it, it gets sat on by seagulls. They literally sat on this salad and with their feet pushing the salad out the dish. I was in the middle of eating so I didn't have any videos or pictures but I wish I had... my mom said the same thing... when seagulls spread germ on that dish and spreads it out the plate itself, server shooed away seagulls. Then he proceeded to put all salads back in the bowl with his bare hands. Then made it pretty and served it.... I really wanted to tell those poor people but they were pretty far and they have started to eat already so I didn't... I didn't want to ruin their meal on a vacation but if you were there September 22nd and sat on the right side of the beach closer to the restaurant and had salad, I hope you...
