We did not eat at this restaurant and we never will!! Instead, we made the terrible mistake of sitting down in the chairs to take a minute before our tour bus arrived as we had an older person in our party. No one was in the restaurant at the time (see photo). It was 4pm, in between meal times and the avenue was quiet. The owner came over very aggressively to ask us what we wanted to order. I explained we were stopping only momentarily. He yelled, “oh, my restaurant is free for you?” We apologized immediately and got up, but he kept escalating, raising his voice, asking where we were from. I responded to his nasty behavior that it was clear he was not busy. My friend apologized in French. We are chamber of commerce executives who understand and support business. He told us we were disrespectful and rude, and that in LA—where he owns a home, he wanted us to know—Americans are very kind, unlike us. I would describe the owner as a violent misogynist who is bête comme ses pieds — hospitality is everything, and you don’t mistreat the elderly, women, tourists, or anyone! 8 days traveling through France, and this monsieur is the ONLY rude person we have encountered. Impoli! Consider before patronizing. We went across the street to McDonalds which was full of patrons, and where anyone could sit.

The service was incredible! Simona and her husband made us feel like family. They were so welcoming to our two toddlers, it was nothing I’d seen before. We were caught in a torrential downpour, and found an empty table at this restaurant. They made sure that our chairs were dry, and that our kids (soaking wet) had a smile on their faces. She brought markers, served the kids food ASAP and was a joy for the hour we were there. The food was 10/10. Caprese burrata and pesto gnocchi were the winners. Thank you!!

Rescued from the rain by sweet Simona! She graciously made room for our family of 6 during a downpour of rain. She brought out markers for our girls which instantly boosted their moods. Food was delicious. We ordered a pizza, bolognese pasta, pesto gnocchi and caprese salad. All dishes were delicious! Small indoor area with just a few tables but there is also an outdoor section on the sidewalk that is covered. We would happily return! Thank you all!

Hi guys, FIRST OF ALL- PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE- I'll explain why by sharing my horrific experience at this restaurant- Sorry for the thorough story but I feel I have to share this so other tourists are not affected by this individual.

I went to this restaurant with my family after we had spent the day in beautiful Cannes...

We initially arrived and were asked to pick any table by one of the staff members (not the skinny bloke but the other guy that works there). We then began to decide where to sit (in a practically empty restaurant) and pulled out a chair at one of the tables but then due to the sun (before we had even sat down) we decided to move to the table adjacent (a perfectly humane thing to do you'd think).

Next thing we hear is a CHAIR BEING SLAMMED from the table we were initially at (bear in mind we hadn't even had the chance to put the chair back yet), we were then told by the skinny guy who came from nowhere (the picture attached shows him) to just decide where to sit and get on with it (honestly we barely took 2/3 minutes).

I know it sounds like we must've done something to trigger this, but I can solemnly say hand on my heart we did not.

Anyway my dad then said lets leave because his attitude isn't great so lets get going. So as we start to leave he starts to bark metaphorically speaking and shouting as we start to leave. So my dad said to him "we're leaving because your attitude isn't pleasant", he then walked up to my dad who is in his mid 50's and started to act in a threatening manner and continued shouting and squared up to my dad.

I intervened and so too did the local shop owners and I said to the guy "back off" at which point his attention turned to me...

He began to get abusive and use offensive language, we were told "we'll call the police" to which we could make absolutely no sense of, anyway we decided to avoid any issues and walk away being in a foreign country we didn't want any issues, this was while he was being restrained by other people. The few people that were at the restaurant also left in this time.

MAIN PART: As I turned my back to walk away I got kicked by the guy on my arm from which I STILL HAVE BRUISING (4 days later) (I have taken pictures but won't attach them unless someone really wants to see them). I can only assume he got off his leash metaphorically speaking.

I took the kick and DID NOT REACT to this in any way as I am a TRAINEE DOCTOR and DO NOT WANT any convictions against my name affecting my future career especially due to someone so worthless.

I was dumbfounded by this mans behaviour, totally and utterly disgusting- he left me with a really bad image about France although he wasn't French himself but of another origin, its a shame they have someone like him.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE- IF YOU WANT TO BE OPPRESSED AND FEEL ON THE EDGE GO FOR IT- BUT JUST DON'T QUESTION THEM, OR TAKE MORE THAN 1 MINUTE DECIDING WHERE TO SIT OR ELSE YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN..... I BEG YOU TO AVOID THIS PLACE- I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM SUB ZERO!!

Thanks for reading my long review but I had to make an account to share this terrible ordeal. (Picture courtesy of AnaZad-...

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. This so-called restaurant has absolutely notorious and horrific service. We were two families with 4 children including an infant and were planning for late dinner (about 10.30pm on a hot summer night). First of all, we waited for more than 20 minutes to get the table. After we were offered a table and had ordered the food, we were told by the utterly rude owner/manager that we didn't order enough food, even though we had ordered 5 dishes and drinks. He took the plates away from our table. We had one infant and 3 small children which of course were to share food. The manager even told us to go to Mcdonalds. And the way he was shouting was absolutely ridiculous. His comments qualify to racism. He couldn't care less that it was late night (10.30pm) and other restaurants were closing their kitchens. We were absolutely disgusted with his behaviour. The waiter who took the order was also helpless as well as the other guests and shaking their heads. It was absolutely clear that this manager wanted us out from the restaurant. The number of dishes were just an excuse.

All in all, we absolutely URGE you to avoid this place at all cost.

Reading from other reviews, I understand that this place is known for its rude behaviour. I urge you again, not to...
