I recently visited Anna with high hopes of indulging in a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I received the bill at the end of the meal. What should have been a pleasant evening was overshadowed by the lack of transparency regarding the prices of the dishes. My main issue revolves around the fact that the restaurant failed to discuss the charges associated with certain items on the menu which was a full size of fish. As a customer, I believe it is essential to have a clear understanding of the prices before making a decision. However, the absence of any indication or prior discussion about the exorbitant costs left a bitter taste in my mouth. When the bill arrived, I was astounded to see the total amount of that fish was almost $300.00. It was significantly higher than what I anticipated based on the menu prices. Upon inquiring, the server vaguely mentioned that the dishes I ordered had additional charges, but this information was never communicated to me before placing my order. It is reasonable to assume that customers should be informed upfront about any additional costs associated with their choices. The lack of transparency regarding the charges not only felt deceptive but also left me feeling taken advantage of as a customer. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but being blindsided by an unexpectedly high bill is disheartening and leaves a sour impression. Furthermore, when I raised my concerns with the staff made the music much more lauder, they displayed a dismissive attitude rather than addressing the issue professionally. Instead of acknowledging their failure to communicate the charges adequately, they seemed more interested in brushing off my concerns. And the manager star compared this restaurant to the others! Like why??? This lack of accountability only added to my disappointment. While I understand that prices can vary in different establishments, it is crucial for restaurants to be transparent about their pricing structure. Customers should be provided with clear information about any additional charges or special conditions associated with certain menu items. This way, they can make informed decisions based on their preferences and budgets. Regrettably, my experience at Anna was marred by the unexpected charges and the subsequent lack of accountability displayed by the staff. I hope they take this feedback constructively and work towards improving their transparency and communication with customers. The service of this restaurant is horrible!! Will never recommend this...

Read moreUPDATE 5/5 * This update has been due for some time now but I kept forgetting to do so. Having gone back several times now to Anna since my review, I must say that Olivia, the new manager, has been amazing and thoughtful in making sure I had the best experience. This was not only on her part but also on the part of the entire staff. The team has been great as well!
What was nice is that Olivia personally made the effort to correct the issue. She went as far as to cover the cost of my dinner for both my friend and I. That is true dedication to service. Many thanks Anna, Olivia and team. I am back in love with you guys again and that is why I have been taking my friends along for the Anna experience. The food and the service remain impeccable and the warm atmosphere you guys bring definitely adds that feeling of coming home. Keep up the great service and see you soon.

I used to go every week when they opened. And I do like taking my friends there on the regular. The first manager was great (the one with the long hair). The original staff is awesome. However, the new staff need to be trained to provide the service that comes with the price of dining there. The simple act of being patient and polite is a lost concept. It is atrocious. The new person who seems to be a manager is anything but such. He carries an air of being out of place and decorum.
The more popular this place gets, the more things deteriorate. It went from a place I adored, to a place I’d rather see replaced. We had dinner, sat at our table having a glass of wine for dessert, then this new manager asked us to leave and if we wanted, we could have a “free drink” at the bar to compensate. He said “free drink is on us”, yet, the words carried no conviction.
Then to make things worst, they took my umbrella and said they’d take “special care of it”. I went back for my umbrella and no one can tell me where it is. The worst part about this event was that the attitude they gave me when asking “where is my umbrella?”; it was beneath them … this is not the Anna I knew.
