Getting off the Metro station at Abbesses and walking up through Montmartre to The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre is quite an arduous task. Well we walked several flights of stairs up the hill and by that point we were hungry and thirsty. Luckliy for us, up on the corner we found Au Rendez-Vous des Amis. We were trying to avoid tourist traps and when you see local Parisians eating there thats usually a good sign. Well this cafe far exceeded our expectations. Both my children 11 and 13 are picky eaters which makes finding meals very difficult, especially in Paris. Well we able to get meals for everyone, three of us had the Burger which was incredible -everyone loved them including myself. I had a local beer with my burger which made it taste even better after the long walk up. My wife had the Chicken Caesar which she thoroughly enjoyed. Read moreBeautiful brasserie located in Montmarte. Very unassuming and super pretty from the outside. We ordered a deli and cheese platter duo which came with a bowl of bread and was absolutely stunning and more than enough for 2 people.
We also ordered the escargot, and absolutely loved the garlic butter sauce, it was absolutely delicious.
The prices overall for food and drink were very reasonable.
We sat outside as it was beautiful weather which added to the whole experience but they also have seats inside too.
The staff were very friendly and happy to help as well but also aren't over you constantly so you feel like you can enjoy your food and drinks in a nice environment, but also that you can get their attention very easily if you want to order more.
We absolutely loved this restaurant and will absolutely be back again next time we're...

Perhaps the worst part of the experience is that after our food arrived two hours after we sat down, I may have been served the worst salad in all of paris. The hard boiled eggs appeared to have been boiled for 20 minutes too long, and the chicken on the salad was literally a chicken patty. I was actually shocked…and were I an employee I would be embarrassed to serve that salad. Stay far, far away, particularly with so many exception options in the neighborhood.
Only redeeming quality was taking the inenible food...
