Disappointing Experience with Excessive Pistachio Topping
I recently had the opportunity to try Bachir ice cream, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The highlight of this particular treat was meant to be its exquisite flavors, but it fell short of expectations in more ways than one.
The moment I took my first bite, I was greeted by an overwhelming onslaught of pistachio topping. While I appreciate the indulgence of pistachios, the sheer quantity overshadowed the delicate flavors of the ice cream itself. The delightful balance I had anticipated was lost amidst the abundance of pistachio.
Moreover, the promised flavors failed to live up to their reputation. What was supposed to be a tantalising symphony of tastes turned out to be a rather lackluster ensemble. The initial excitement was dampened by the reality of subdued and underwhelming flavors that left me longing for the expected burst of indulgence.
In conclusion, my experience with Bachir ice cream was marred by the excessive pistachio topping and the disappointing flavors that failed to align with the anticipation. While I had hoped for a memorable treat, I found myself longing for a more balanced and flavorful experience. It's safe to say that this particular ice cream fell short of the mark, leaving me with a taste of disappointment rather...
Read moreDefinitely get the traditional flavour for your ice cream. We were assigned to a girl who’s English is not good. For such a touristic place where you pay 7,40€ for an ice cream, they should have staff whose English is a lot better. From what she explained, we understood that the “specialty” with the pistachio is the flavour they give us to try. When we were asked what flavours we wanted for the ice cream we did not choose the “traditional” one assuming that since we’re paying the 2,90€ extra, the traditional flavour with pistachio covering would come by default on top of the ice cream. Turns out what you pay for is just for your ice cream to be covered with pistachio, not for the traditional specialty flavour. The rest of the flavours are average. So, if we were to pay that 7,40€ again (which we won’t) we would get the traditional flavour which is the best!
I only leave 3 stars because we just paid 14,80€ for two ice creams which we did not enjoy because the process was not explained to us well enough by the staff who don’t speak...
Read moreIt's really difficult to go wrong with ice cream...in fact it's a lot more likely that it's going to right! That was the case here at Bachir, Lebanese ice cream in the heart of Montmartre, Paris. A place that's been there for decades that we finally had the opportunity to visit!
We got there classic ice cream concoction, coated with pistachios. It was great. I'm not sure what makes it "Lebanese" - Perhaps the rose flavors, or maybe pistachio coated milk ice cream (come to think of it, isn't most ice cream "milk" ice cream...anyway, that's what it was called) is a unique combo to the region. Anyhoo, my mouth didn't care as I happily spooned and licked delicious bites of ice cream into it.
It was towards the end of their working day on a Saturday evening and, although there was a line, it went quick. Service was friendly and we had a lovely, unique tasting and...
