The evening got off to a great start, after we were a little cold at the door we were allowed to move again. When the starter and wine arrived, our spirits soared and the mood was set for a great evening. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We had both ordered the faux fillet on point (rember that's even less than medium) well it arrived more than well done. I had told the waitress about it, but as it was already late in the evening and we didn't want to throw the meat away, we agreed on a free dessert. Some of the meat was left over anyway, because it's hard to finish something that dry. It was a bit cold the whole time, but halfway through the meal the other guests left and they started clearing up. The door was open because the tables were brought in from outside, and this was in February, so we felt reminded every second that the place was about to close. After we had the feeling of being kicked out, were freezing and didn't feel like having dessert, I told the waitress again that unfortunately dessert was no longer suitable, but that the meat was a pity. Unfortunately, the price wasn't adjusted and I ended up spending €133 for two for a disappointing evening. As good as it started, that's how much it tailed off. Too bad - it could have been so nice. At least the wine was delicious and made the...
Read moreWe came on a sunny day around noon and we spotted a few outdoor tables (2 tables that were almost finished and 1 that was open). We asked to be seated outside to enjoy the beautiful weather but they told us that because we were 30 mins late (unfortunately we mixed up our reservation time and arrived late) they needed to seat us indoors and that the 1 open table was already reserved for another party—totally understandable.
About 5 mins after we sat down indoors, another lady sat down next to us and when one of the outdoor parties left, they moved the lady who arrived after us to the outdoor table. They did not bother to ask us if we wanted that newly available table, even though we arrived before her. Again, it was a beautiful day so it’s understandable that everyone wanted to sit outside. So when the outdoor table opened up, he should have asked us if we wanted to move before simply giving her the outdoor spot. This was inconsiderate.
As for the food itself—the croissant was a bit tough to bite into, and the combination of ingredients seemed off balance. Far too much cheese for a small croissant.
I don’t recommend this place—service and food were both subpar. There are better...
Read moreIf you need to read a review because you aren’t sure about taking a chance here, I hope you’ll read this: with all the amazing places to eat in Paris, there is absolutely NO REASON to waste a meal here. We ordered two cesar salads and I’ve never seen such a disgusting thing served in any restaurant i’ve been to in Paris. The chicken was unedible and raw, and the salad literally consisted of a whole bag of romain lettuce with old parmesan granules; there wasn’t even any sauce (16euros btw). The fries were cold, expensive and soggy.
When we told the manager he said he wouldn’t charge us for one of the salads and he then proceeded to LEAVE the restaurant, so we had to argue with the waitress to actually get it removed from the bill.
Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other restaurant on this street. I’ve tried almost every single one and they are far better than this.
Only reason to come here would be to enjoy a beer or a drink, as the setting is quite nice, but they definitely use this as an excuse to serve their customers disgusting,...
