While I did like the new flowery decorations and central European flair that reminds me of old towns in Poland and the Jewish quarters, there were a couple of things that were not so great over here. . .

We had ordered Perrier and coffee.

It’s super strange to be served the 0,33L bottle of Perrier directly in a glass with ice and lemon, with the bottle itself nowhere in sight. How can you possibly tell that it’s straight from a fresh bottle, 100% and not mixed with some other water etc. . . also, I prefer to choose how much ice I like in my drink.

So. . . as our two glasses had evidently been filled up from a big bottle, why was there no 0,75L bottle to order on the menu, only the 0,33L option?

The espresso was ok, better than a cheap café Richard coffee, however not well enough made in my opinion. It was too watery and could have had more intense flavour.

I was very intrigued by the savoury waffles on the menu. Checking via the online photos, it looks like they got ‘inspired’ by brunch at café Mareva. . . there is not question that I’d much rather have the original healthy version...

Pretty miserable, deeply disappointing experience. I was so excited to finally go out for brunch for the first time since last Autumn. The place across the street was where I'd originally planned to go but there was an enormous queue and so we opted for this place which had a table immediately available. I wish I'd waited for the other place instead. I chose eggs benedict with bacon, on a waffle. It's one of my favourite dishes. The eggs though, were stone cold. It was a real shock when I put the fork in my mouth and found the inside to be as cold as a yoghurt fresh from the fridge. I asked about this and the gentleman sent the plate back. They brought back another plate of cold eggs. Again I reluctantly explained they were cold and again the gentleman returned the plate to the kitchen. This time however a lady returned the same plate to my table with an explanation that of course the eggs were cold because they had a sauce on them. She patronised me as though I had never eaten eggs before. I asked them to take them back, paid the bill and left. I...

Disappointing Service but Decent Food Options at Café Crème Le Marais

I was disappointed with the slow and irresponsible service at Café Crème Le Marais. Despite the nice ambiance and good food options, the lack of attentive service made the experience less enjoyable. It took a long time for the server to take our order and bring our food, and they seemed disinterested in our needs throughout the meal.

That being said, the food was actually quite good. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and there were other tempting options on the menu as well.

While the service was lacking, there is potential for improvement. One suggestion would be to have more staff available during peak hours to ensure that customers receive prompt attention.

Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Café Crème Le Marais based on my experience, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it out either. It's worth a visit for the food alone, but don't expect...
