After we sat down, the waiter shattered a glass on our table; showering us with glass. The lady up front immediately helped clean up and reset our table. That turned out to be the highlight. We ordered and were impressed the waiter didn’t write anything down….10 minutes later, he can back to “confirm” our starter order. My wife and I were to share a starter as well as the other couple. The waiter brought out a plate for both the ladies with bread. He even brought out another plate of bread to them since all 4 of us ate the first. We didn’t get any. When the starters were brought out, no sharing plates were brought. The waiter now “confirmed” our dinner order. A little while later the food was brought, and was cold. The pasta was very Al dente. Flavors were very good though on all meals. We decided to have dessert. We all ordered; 3 sorbets and my mixed berries with mascarpone with a coffee. Again, another order “confirmation.” The 3 sorbets were brought out and I was told that putting berries in a bowl with a dollop of mascarpone takes a lot of time to prepare…who knew. No mention of my coffee. Almost 20 minutes later (and everyone else done), I received my berries and dollop of mascarpone. Still no coffee. I told him that I no longer wanted especially since the other 3 have been waiting for mine to arrive for 20 minutes and didn’t want them...
Read moreI am not a regular reviewer - in fact this is my first but felt I had to put something together if only to save anybody else putting a short break with limited time in jepordy. This restaurant is close as could be to Arc de Triomphe and as it takes up some of the most sought after commercial space in Europe it wasnt a suprise that it was expensive. After 4 COVID cancelled trips I decided to go for it and treat my Wife and I to what I thought was going to be a a gastronomic experience. We ended walking out and ruining a day of the break on New Years Eve. The service, attitude and overall vibe was appalling. Waiting 50 minutes our choices hadnt even been started. The attitude of the front of house was nothing less than arrogance. Dont risk going here - as we sat waiting there were complaints at the till from clients complaining of cold food and another client close us was issued incorrect order. Shambles all round. I was told to go without paying for the glass of wine and bread that we had consumed whilst waiting but she seemed to missing the point??? I wasnt looking for value or free bees - just an above average meal sat overlooking the Arc de Triomphe. They failed miserably and got the general feeling it was an unhappy working enviorment which probably started at the top and dribbled down to all levels of staffing. Needs...
Read moreReview: A Disappointing Dining Experience at Casa Luca
Our experience at Casa Luca was truly disappointing from start to finish. From the moment we sat down, the waiter was overly pushy, constantly trying to sell us the most expensive items on the menu. This made the atmosphere uncomfortable and far from welcoming.
As we were finishing our meal, the waiter brought us the check without us asking for it—a clear sign that they were rushing us. To make matters worse, while my wife was still enjoying her tea, the waiter asked us to vacate the table because they had another reservation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially in France, where dining is supposed to be an experience, and lingering over conversation is a cultural norm.
The food itself was another letdown—simple and lacking any quality or creativity, yet outrageously overpriced. Combine that with the sense of being hurried out as though we were in a fast-food establishment, and it’s clear that Casa Luca fails to deliver even the most basic aspects of hospitality.
Dining in France is supposed to be a memorable and pleasurable experience, but Casa Luca made every effort to ensure it was the opposite. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality food or a...
