A beautiful restaurant with delightful service and food to savour with all your senses!

We booked a reservation at 12:30 on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. We were among the first in the restaurant, but it turned out to be perfect timing because by 1 pm the restaurant was full!

The hostess welcomed us with a smile, even as English speakers who clearly spoke no French beyond “Bonjour” and “Merci”. She immediately put us at ease with her friendly and chill demeanour. Excellent service.

For food, I ordered the Jerusalem Artichoke velouté (16€), and my husband the Foie Gras (I believe 23€). We both loved our starters. I was savouring each bite and had to eat slowly because there was just so much going on in each bite, it had to be savoured. It was also quite rich in composition, with a perfect harmony of textures and flavours. The crunch of what tasted like pecan croutons really made me pause and enjoy. It was served with astonishingly delicious cheese gougères. My husband really enjoyed his foie gras. The starters came with an excellent whole grain bread.

For mains I got the fish, which was served with perfectly blanched greens in a creamy sauce (beurre blanc?) (34 €), while my husband got the veal with mushrooms (option for no truffle, 29€) which was served with vegetables in a broth on the side. The bread that came with the mains was astonishingly good. It looked slightly orange, perhaps squash or pumpkin added, with a slight orange perfume and the savoury crunch of sunflower seeds (but somehow tasted of walnut?). It was so good. If the restaurant sold this bread I would buy it. My fish dish was beautifully cooked and balanced, I especially loved the little cubes of mushroom and celery topping it, adding alternating bursts of savoury and herbacious to complement the fish. The dish was only missing a bit of acid in my opinion.

For dessert we got the chocolate cake with coffee ice cream (14€), and the pear cake with lemon cream (€). Both were rich in flavour and the perfect sweet ending to the meal, with a double espresso for me a cappuccino for my husband.

It turns out I accidentally left my credit card at the restaurant, but they kept it for me and were ready to give it back when I returned to the restaurant an hour later. Very grateful!

Again a beautiful meal and such a pleasurable experience....

Between their exceptional service, delectable dishes, and prime wine selection, this is hands down the very best restaurant in Montmartre. The plates are crafted with tremendous attention to detail so come prepared to order at least an appetizer and a main course, I would also would not recommend missing out on their desserts prepared by their world-class pâtissièr. The servers are attentive but not imposing; they are happy to share an array of knowledge, including the origins of every exquisite drink and ingredient used to bring their jaw-dropping dining experience to life. This is particularly impressive considering the menu changes on an almost weekly basis, based on the availability and freshness of the ingredients in the local market. The chefs are two brothers from France and inspired by the world. Through their work shines the spirit of traditional French cuisine yet hints of both Latin and Asian cuisine can be captured as well. Finally, their prestigious wine selection is stocked with some of the best biodynamic wines in the market. Overall I was highly pleased with the experience. With so many amazing restaurants in France, it can be hard to find one that stands out but in my humble opinion, Chantoiseau is a place worth...

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place!

TL;DR: The best meal I had during our entire two week trip to France (Paris & Alsace). Went back a second time as our last evening meal of the trip because we loved it so much!

This gorgeous restaurant is located in Montmartre, on a scenic winding street that leads up to the top of the neighborhood. It's not too large, so reservations are recommended and we were thrilled to see a a healthy mix of tourists and locals enjoying their meal.

The food was impeccable. Every dish, from the appetizers, to entrees, to desserts, was beautiful, refined, and wholly original. From a roasted chicken that redefined chicken for us to a crab appetizer with grapefruit that blew my mind, everything was exciting, fresh, and delicious.

I also need to call out a three-plated Lobster dish, which included a raviolo, as well as a beautiful poached lobster, and a lobster sauce, was the highlight of my entire trip (and the perfect last-vacation dinner)!

Don't hesitate—book and go to...

It was my family’s first time in Europe, and we saw Chantoiseau in the Michelin Guide list of recommended restaurants in Paris, so we were looking forward to it a lot. We made a reservation a few days before (would definitely recommend this as their tables were all full!) Our server was very attentive, the ambiance was just right for more of a fine dining vibe, and the food was very near perfect. That being said, there could have been some improvements. The flavor on the octopus leg and loin of farm pork were great, but we think the octopus could have been more tender, and the skin on the pork more brittle and easier to slice into. We loved the freshly shelled crab and roasted pigeon though :) All in all, it was still a great experience. Kudos and thank you to everyone involved

I was very impressed with the meal. The combination of flavors in each dish was perfect-it's clear the chef put a lot of thought into its design. I noticed on Google Maps that lunch hours are from 12:00 to 13:30, and I was initially worried about the limited time since l'm a slow eater. However, there was no rush at all, and I was able to enjoy every bite of my meal at a relaxed pace. Although the servers didn't provide much explanation about the food, they were always happy to answer my questions with a smile. The meal was a bit expensive for me-appetizer, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine cost 90€-but it was absolutely worth it. I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the meal. Overall, it was a smooth and truly enjoyable dining experience.
