I was in Paris last week with my husband and came upon this gem accidentally while discovering the Latin quarter of Paris! I can't even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed their food. 😊 We ordered their pot of mussels with bottomless French fries and we've had mussels before but the way theirs was prepared was so fresh and flavorful. We also ordered their grilled fish, and it was cooked/ grilled to perfection that my husband and I went back for two days in a row because we couldn't stop thinking about their food! The staff were so nice and courteous. The athmosphere was so Paris! Everything that we ate at this restaurant was cooked with love! I am not one to exaggerate but I really would recommend this place to everyone. The escargot was prepared to perfection. The bountiful sauces, spicy to cheesy that came when they served us our dinner added to the excitement of having out meal because it heightened the flavor of each dish. I adore the people that served us and was very informative being that we are Americans and it's our first trip to Paris. My husband and I will be back next summer and I can't wait to visit this gem again! Love from San...
Read moreWonderful little spot. The waitress was so nice and hard working. She's by herself running the front, clearly speaks at least 4 languages that we heard when we were there. When we got there it was quiet, one family there. After we ordered, a group of 20+ tourist came in a filled the restaurant, I couldn't believe how some of them treated the waitress and were just flat out rude, and a tiny bit unintentionally racist. I heard some ask repeatedly if they had Chinese food, even though the menu is out side, and they kept being told no. They also complained because they got steak and thought they ordered chicken, I guess steak in French is somewhat close to chicken in Spanish but still, the menu has pictures. Any way I got the escargot, tartille and vodka dessert, all were wonderful. Even with the big crowd I didn't think we were neglected or had to wait longer for our food. The waitress really was a rockstar and Id guess an owner or wife of the owner just the way she handled herself and...
Read moreThis was our last meal on our trip to Paris and we decided to eat at a Parisian bistro. We picked this one near Notre Dame because it looked inviting and it had inviting specials at an affordable price (€16.9/pax). We were pleased by the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, though at times some smoke drifted in from patrons outside.
Our French onion soup was comfortingly warm and herbal and our escargots were succulent and tasty. The generous portion of grilled lamb leg was juicy and had a nice char while the duck confit was excellent: rich, tender and well seasoned. Both of these were served with a side salad and French fries which were also very well done. For dessert we had profiteroles and a fondant au chocolat/chocolate lava cake which were both very acceptable and a great way to close out the meal.
Our server, Sam, was very attentive and service was very quick. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious French bistro meal at an...
