Trendy place but huge let down on the bagels! Spend most of my time in the US so I was super hyped up reading the positive reviews and ordered "fresh" 1 everything, 1 plain, 1 cream cheese with scallions (ciboulette), 1 pastrami sandwich. The bagels were warm but it's a solid MEH for me, the bagels are not homemade?? Finally! I have been visiting Paris for decades. Only now does the city boast a real bagel. Cody’s bagels — on the Left Bank — is every bit as good as any bagel you can buy in NYC. Unlike other Paris bagels, which are really no different than toast in the shape of a bagel, Cody’s have the right texture, smell and taste. I bought a dozen with cream cheese. As the daughter of a New Yorker having lived in Paris for 3 years now, I have never come across a real bagel in France – with the only good option having been found at Costco, which is far away from central Paris.

I happily stumbled across this new place while walking home the other day, and was too curious to try – as I saw the bagels from afar and was impressed with how real they looked.
