I visited there last week with a Thai friend last Thursday night, shortly after the small restaurant had opened for the evening; we were just two walk-in tourists who had no expectations.
While I didn't get anything to eat (my friend was hungry, not me), I know that he said the Thai food was excellent - he said it was really good Thai food, which he said isn't easy to get in Paris, so I take his word for that. I at least saw that it also had good visual presentation appeal, too.
Neither of us are French, but I speak/understand a little French, so I noticed/overheard that the single front-of-house staff member (the manager, or a waiter?), a tall man with a beard, was polite and friendly to the few people who came in; he was the same to us, without being over-friendly.
I also noticed it was very clean, with a masked staff member, who quietly said hello to us, giving the other tables a quick final clean at that opening time; good to see.
So, based on the apparently excellent Thai food (which also seemed fairly priced), its cleanliness, and the clearly friendly, professional staff, I'd definitely recommend popping in to Baosian if you're looking for a good Thai food restaurant in...
Read moreA tiny restaurant that packs a great punch of Asian flavours & friendly service. Their menu is predominantly Thai but you can find some Vietnamese in the mix.
Love the fact that they rate the spiciness & flavour of each dish. I had the green curry chicken with rice, rated mild in spicy but you can always ask for chilli on the side turn of the heat which is what we did. Massamam Thai curry was also on point .. figured they are experts at making curries! Also you can choose they types of meat or go vegetarian making it very accommodating for every dietary restrictions. The sharing platter came in 2 sizes, we had the large for 6 people,m - was very generous and super delicious especially with a selection of dips / sauces for each item.
Think the max they sit is 6 per table and you can easily book a table on their booking platform.

Read moreI dined here as a non-local when I visited Paris. Our waiter realised that we were new in the area, and was very friendly & helpful - he randomly showed us dishes (that he was serving to other tables) so we could get an idea of what we wanted to order. Since some members of my group were vegetarian, he suggested good vegetarian options from the menu. He also customized the spiciness of the dishes as per our wants.
The food was awesome - quantity of each dish is sufficient for a single person. Flavours are good & they also customize spice level.
Ambience wise the place is well lit & cozy. It's a little small but if you reserve a few hours beforehand you can get a table easily. They also allowed us to hang around a bit after dinner, chatted with us & served us some complimentary dessert on the house. That was a very sweet gesture - our waiter really...
