Crêperie Genia — Restaurant in Paris

I am editing my review from 5 star because the lady who owned the creperie has retired and frankly the quality is not as good. They are inconsistent with the fillings and they are more restrictive with the special (i.e. you have to pay extra if you don't want a Nutella dessert crepe). Sorry but you guys need to do better.

Awesome crepes!!! Fresh not pre-made and soggy like many of the stands in Paris. Super busy so expect to wait. Great prices and selection of savory and sweet! Nice little seating area upstairs. Great area to hang out in the Latin Quarter and close to many attractions. Do NOT order the special (1 savory and 1 sweet with a soda for 5 euros) AND split it! That is apparently a NO NO. We just wanted a snack and made that mistake and she got mad. It was so yummy there that we apologized profusely and she forgave us. Good thing because we ate there a couple more...

Don’t bother going here. As many have said before - the crepes are way too thick and the staff are too rude. Unhygienic as the staff was touching everyone’s crepes with his hands while touching many other things that were not clean. My order was messed up and I was blamed for it (even though I repeated it 3 times) so I had to contact my bank to withhold the payment to this place since they refused to either give me the correct order or refund my money.

If you don’t have the ingredients in stock you should tell the customer straight up instead of gaslighting them and insisting they ordered something completely different.

Cheap and rubbish....

Decent crepes. The filling for my grilled vegetable crepe was very good but the crepe itself was tasteless (and very thick). My husband’s chorizo and cheese filling was also very good. The sweet crepes were better, but again the crepes themselves were doughy and not particularly flavorful. After the crepes from Crépuscule (near the Eiffel Tower which is a gem), it was a 3 stars in terms of flavor. But the staff was super friendly and the upstairs was absolutely adorable. It would make a great afternoon sweet pause if you wanted to be out of the weather and have access to a bathroom. The prices were fantastic. It’s a mixed...
