Our visit to this Ethiopian family restaurant in Paris was truly one of the most memorable parts of our trip! With a tight travel schedule, we called ahead to have our meals ready—and what awaited us was far more than just delicious food.

We were warmly greeted by the entire family: mom, dad, their middle school daughter, and son. Their hospitality was sincere and heartfelt—it felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home, not just a restaurant.

The food was absolutely delicious, and they even went the extra mile to prepare a special vegan late for us, which required a quick shopping trip on their end—something we deeply appreciated. They also offered extra portions of Ethiopian wot and enjera at no additional cost, and kindly packed up additional dinner in to-go boxes for our journey to other cities in France.

This was by far, the best restaurant I have been in. Just WOW! This family owned restaurant is truly a gem in Paris. We were fortunate enough to walk in while they were celebrating their daughter's birthday and had a family type treatment. Everyone, including the kids that were helping out, always made sure we had everything we needed and kept us hydrated the whole time. We went in as a family of 8 and the quality of the food and the speed it was served was just AMAZING. The owners true caring made everything taste 10 times better. Ethiopia Golden is a true hidden gem. The owner was incredibly kind — we even had coffee together at the table and talked about many things. The injera? Amazing!!!. Made from teff, maize, mashela and pure love. The food tasted just like home — like I was back in Ethiopia. Super affordable, full of flavor, and filled with heart.
