Ok, the high level review is totally a scam. We went there after checking the rating and it was one of the worst places me and my partner have ever eaten while travelling. The place is dirty, food is old and they serve food in a totally unhygienic manner. We are surprised the French authorities allowed a place like that to be open. They serve food with yogurt and mist is definitely not fresh. My moussaka was something old and definitely a recipe on its own. As a cherry on this horrible experience the waitresses exchange an high five after in the street while smoking after we left, as a sort of ‘Also today we managed to scam a tourist’. We paid 50€ which would have been already too high even for a good quality place, for this place just made us pissed. To the people leaving fake reviews, you should stop because is only damaging the food industry, it is a recent trolling going around recently in many touristic cities and is...
Read moreRestaurant VEGE was an interesting find for us whilst travelling over from the UK. Initially the atmosphere is quite welcoming, with a nice interior, but it did look a bit dead and quiet upon arrival with only one other couple eating in. The staff were okay but I didn't feel like it was a memorable experience. The food itself was okay, but what we received wasn't as expected I suppose. We came in looking at the menu thinking we would have a warm vegan burger, but instead the burger is actually made up of all cold items which have been sat out throughout the day. They did taste very fresh though and quite tasty, but the coldness of everything was a surprise I suppose. It was okay for a quick eat (since it was cold it was served instantly) - but for the price it was not good - very expensive for what you get. I'd recommend checking them out if you fancy something different, but not necessarily as your...
Read moreWe were not certain what to expect in Paris as Vegans. However to find a vegetarian and vegans restaurant 5 minutes walk from our hotel was an unexpected bonus. The menu was great with a number of vegan entrees, main meals and starters. We both had the kofta which was also fantastic but in hindsight we should have had different meals and asked about things more. As with most other places in Paris we were made to feel incredibly welcome, the atmosphere was great and it was very busy, we talked for most of the night to a lovely French couple who were happy to talk in English and also encouraged my wife's very reasonable French and my very basic French. I would definitely recommend it. It is decorated with the weird and wonderful and traditional Turkish items, suck as strings of dried peppers and aubergines. Glad we booked as it was so busy and glad to see a lively and growing French vegetarian and...
