Not sure why this place doesn’t have many reviews. As a tourist in Paris, this quaint unassuming place made my day. Best sushi place I have been to here. Other sushi places similar to this are much more pricey. Hopefully this review helps them get some publicity
Small things that made me really like this place:
Very clean restroom English friendly and very welcoming Never rushed me (stayed two hours) The staff was incredibly kind
Food: There were some amazing fish I have never tasted in my life (been to several hundred sushi restaurants) Flat fish and sea eel was almost too much flavor to comprehend Extremely refined and complex Portion is a lot (even for an American standard)
In the US, you would end up paying above $200-$300 for this quality. The menu is 115€ which includes 3 starter plates, 15 nigiri, 2 desserts. I didn’t take photos of all of the nigiri but I think this place is one of my favorite places around. It reminds me of Uchi if you know the reference but just one single table top.
Chef is very personable. Extremely clean, quick and very tasty. I am not sure why this doesn’t have many reviews yet but hopefully this helps! This is a hidden gem.
Cons: I prefer mostly raw fish and the chef is searing some of the items, though probably you can request him not to. If you have a group, probably best to call ahead because there aren’t many seats. Short evening...

Nice point •Atmosphere •Price •Dessert
Sad Point •Quality of the fishes ( especially white- fleshed ) •Technique of gripping Sushi Rice ( Sushis felt down on the plate many times ) •Hospitality of Chef •Taste
The chef never asked our taste neither listened our talking, just he continued to talk by himself and we just listened. And he poured Sake for one taste in the glass of wine then he asked how it was so we just answered “ good “, never said we would take this sake. But he poured for one glass and of course he charged calculating. Sushi was not fresh Billfish was awful. I was wondering why he served the fatty tuna at first then next was white fishes.
Totally, here is good place for the people who like Japan and enjoy...
Read moreI'm just going to quickly gloss over the fact that the food was mindblowing, and the sheer Umami in some of the starters was just out of this world.
What really makes this place special is the intimate setting of only 12 covers, sitting around the kitchen where everything happens.
Add to that an engaging and happy chef that is willing to talk with you and bring you and the other diners together; you not only have a great dinner but an unforgettable experience.
The food, the chef, the staff, the atmosphere, I'm almost reluctant to recommend it, because if this place gets a whole lot more popular, it's going to be hard to book a table there on the quick...
So don't...
