I used to really enjoy this place, but after our recent visit, I feel compelled to share our extremely disappointing experience.
The service has taken a nosedive, and it's not the same friendly welcome we used to get. Right from the start, when my friend asked to hang his coat, the lady said it's only for staff, claiming that she has bed bugs at home and that he would catch them (5 stars for the cleanliness).
We were a group of 8 people, nothing too wild, just two separate tables like normal people. But the complaints started rolling in about how big tables are a nightmare to manage. It felt like we were a burden for no reason.
Then came the episode of trying to order, and her bluntly stating that it should not take us so long (literally 5 min). My friend wanted to swap two appetizers for a dish (for the same price), and the response was a blunt "no", with a side of rudeness: "go ask the chef, she'll say the same". For this lady, the customer is clearly always wrong.
One friend couldn't even enjoy her food which was disgusting. When she asked if she could just have her dessert, the response was a bit much - "I don't know where you come from, but in French restauration, we don't serve dessert before others are done with their meals." That felt not just rude but borderline insensitive and, dare I say, racist.
And the food, sigh. The andouillette was a letdown, and the salmon that used to be great? Well, it's now just mediocre. The overall quality has definitely taken a hit.
To top it off, there's a little surprise they don't tell you about - you can't use your card unless you have the physical card and PIN code on the app. So, if you planned on tap to pay, that's a bummer.
Long story short, the charm and goodness we once associated with this place seem to have vanished. It's with a not so heavy heart that I say we will...
Read moreI only regret we didn’t try this place sooner on a 2 week trip to Paris. Although you don’t see many local children out dining with their families in Paris, this location was perfectly warm and welcoming of our whole family. (Granted our kids are generally polite and adventurous eaters). Note: there’s not a kid’s menu but the menu is perfect and le serveur was intuitive and helpful about ordering for the kids. He was one of the most hospitable and lovely people we have ever encountered when traveling. I don’t know what the menu offers all the time, but if they have burrata on the menu when you visit, it will not disappoint! The wine was enjoyable, the pace of the service was perfection: have a proper slow meal and enjoy your time, you won’t feel rushed or like you’re just part of table turnover. Of all the places we had dinner, this was our entire family’s favorite. We went back our last night in Paris because we knew the food and hospitality would send us off on a wonderful note. I’m not much for food photos, and didn’t think to take pictures of the burrata or meal until we were already eating; I assure you the meals are much better than my photography skills. Note: if you’re a first time visitor to Paris: don’t special order food. It comes as it comes; this spot takes clear pride in their menu, and the chef hits every item...
Read moreFood was more like fusion of Japanese cuisines, so this is not a place that could make you “wow” if you come from Asian countries. Would recommend to those who want a place to chill and have a taste of Asian.
Since it’s a brasserie, so the portion of food wasn’t that large. Two of us managed to order 5 dishes and 2 glasses of wine. Food was average. There were 2 dishes we quite like: 1) The pan seared salmon was good that it melted in my mouth, and 2) the king prawn was very fresh.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The menu was only in French, so he introduced dish by dish to us. Also love the vibe of the place. It’s very comfy that my friend and I kept chatting and almost...
