. I have asked the gent, not sure if he was a waiter, if I could use the toilet, he did not understand English well, i understood, so I asked him where is your toilet... then the story, incident started. He ordered me to greet him nicely first, trying to give the non French a lesson in Franch language, me saying bonne soirée before asking for using the toilet, first. Once I did it and asking him for the toilet again, he started talking French only saying No toilet here, I understood. Although I have experienced Paris and Olympics as a great event, unfortunately we ca also find a very unfriendly examples and a shame behaviour. Thanks good, this only of very view negative examples, I hope, as Paris and The French are so wonderful hosts od the Olympics. The response, apparently it was the owner, shows how disrespectful he is, expecting the foreigners speak his language. Unfortunately, I don't speak French but it shouldn't be a reason for discrimination. Such a behaviour no one should tolerate. We don't and will make sure all our friends will notice accordingly. No apologies on our end, and based on the response of the owner, we don't expect any on from him. We also do not plan to ever visit again. It is beneath of our level. Just asimple message. NOT...

So, I ended up eating here on my last night in Paris because the café I originally wanted to go to was closed. I usually research the restaurants I go to pretty extensively, as I was determined to have the best I could get, but this place I just kind of walked into with no planning, and I'm glad I did! I had the duck breast with pureed, parmesan potatoes, and it was a m a z i n g. Seriously, anyone else who has had it: what is that sauce called?? I've been looking for a recipe to imitate it because oh my gosh, it was so delicious. The potatoes were fantastic and smooth and the flavor was phenomenal! Also, the service was great; I don't speak French very well, but the servers were very patient and spoke English well enough to answer any questions I had, anyways. I sat down, but unexpectedly had to take the food to-go because I didn't have time to sit and eat it, which the server was very gracious about and he seemed to have no problem with it. The food was brought to my table in a sturdy to-go container. Everything about this restaurant and my experience with it was great--I'd go back in a heartbeat and I'd happily recommend it to my friends/family! Next time, I hope I'll be able to sit down for a longer dinner with friends and sample some of their wines...

The bartenders were not only skilled in crafting drinks but also eager to engage in conversation and provide recommendations. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to customize drinks to my preferences was greatly appreciated.

The ambiance of the bar was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends or even for a solo visit. The music selection added to the overall vibe without being too loud, allowing for easy conversation.

The bar menu offered a wide variety of drinks, including some creative cocktails and a well-curated selection of beers and spirits. The drinks were expertly made, and the presentation was impressive.

I also noticed that the patrons seemed to be in good spirits, and it's clear that the friendly atmosphere cultivated by the staff contributes to the positive vibes in the establishment.

In summary, my experience was fantastic, largely due to the exceptional service. If you're looking for a place where you can enjoy great drinks and conversation in a welcoming environment, this bar should be at the top of your list. I'll definitely be...

When we stood in front of the place, an old Madame turned to us and said, "C'est bon," and we are forever grateful for her hint because the food was amazing. I had the glazed duck with grape sauce and mashed potatoes (17.50€). The meat was perfectly done so that it came off the bone easily. The dried grape sauce was sweet and salty but not overpowering. The mashed potatoes were seasoned with parmesan, which was very subtle but really added to the flavor and texture. And the tomato bits on the side give your tongue a refresher every other bite, which is really nice when you have a dish with no extra vegetable. For desert, we had homemade crème brûlée (7€), which was made with real vanilla and which left that awesome lip balm feeling on the lips from how creamy it was. Awesome place! Go there!

The food was great! We ordered the piece de boucher grillee (butcher's grill) - which happened to be beef today, french onion soup, poached egg with mushrooms and bacon(?) and a salad. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested, the fries and salad provided were good. My personal favorite are the poached egg and mushrooms. The soft mushrooms with caramelized onions were sublime. The only thing I didn't enjoy with this place was the cigarette smoke coming in from the outside (regardless of which table), but this is largely outside the restaurant's control. One minor feedback I have is that the salt shaker has too big holes and too much comes out at once. That shaker is probably for pepper. Nevertheless, this place gets a strong recommendation!
