Absolutely our best dining experience in Paris! We were planning to go to a nearby restaurant which claimed to be open 24/7 to get an early dinner with our 5 children. That place was closed, but we saw L'Ami Georges and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. The owner waited on us himself and was so accommodating and understanding of the kid's needs. He offered to split a large portion of one dish knowing it might be too much for the kids. He brought a plate of fries for the toddler, and knew to keep our wine glasses full (you know, because we have 5 kids). There was a man smoking a cigar at a table outside the restaurant and the smoke was blowing across into the dining area. We didn't complain (its part of Paris!) but the owner thought it might bother the kids and asked the gentleman to put it out. He lost out on a sale from that table as the guest left in a huff (while glaring at the children). The owner said he'd rather keep the kids happy. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular, and everything was very unassuming. I recommend anyone and everyone to try...
Read moreHello to all magnificent people. Thank you for your time to read my review. We made a reservation to a different place near by and by mistake ended up in this restaurant. Initially the owner was ok, and set us down to look at the menu, as we started to read the menu we suddenly understood it’s not the same place we booked online, initially we were very confused, but then we apologized, stand up and walk out apologizing multiple times. This was the minute owner was extremely mad and barely spoke with us. We left and about 10 minutes after I noticed my sunglasses are missing and I came back to grab them, guess what , the owner barely spoke with me and told me No sunglasses, weeeellll that was was very unpleasant and left a big noooo for this place, again can’t tell anything about food but service is 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Read moreExcellent traditional French food in a family restaurant. Nothing posh, just the real deal. The owner, Albert, greets everyone as if they are his neighbours. Many are. I’ve been coming here since 2018. I recently had to-die -for pork ribs, better than anything Texas has to offer. The potatoes Dauphine were superb. I often order the duck, the seafood, or the os (which remind me of my grandmother). I’ve been here early when families are present and late when the clients are enjoying late dates. Want a taste of a French family restaurant - this is it. Enjoy.
Also, I am chagrined to realise that, after enjoying this place for so many years, I had not written a review. So here it is! Merci...
