This place is really not well kept and dirty. I understand that it is a traditional restaurant and the place wants to keep the "old Parisian look" but this does explain the shabby furniture and general lack of cleanness of the place. Service attitude was ok, but getting your food from a waiter with a dirty T-shirt is not fine... If the serving areas looks dirty, I do not want to think how the kitchen looks. The space is really tiny and in a warm day is hot, smelly and stuffy inside. The toilet.... don't even get me started... Food was average. I ordered a speciality tartare with foie-gras and duck breast, however I did not see these ingredients in the dish (except 5-6 tiny, tiny pieces of duck). Still, I was charged the full price. Really not a...

TOURIST TRAP. Stopped in for a snack and drink at "happy hour" 5/8/2019. Suffering from a cold and severe cough I asked for water. Waiter came back with menu. when I asked for water again he brought a bottle of water which is customary service for most sidewalk bistros in France. We ordered oysters a terrine and champagne. Drinks came then he announced: oysters finished, so we said we would just have the country terrine. Next he delivered the more expensive fois gras which after much protestation he took back and returned with the country pate. Finished. The bill arrived listing 2 -8 euro drinks, the terrine and a 10 Euro charge for the water. Upcharging!!! STAY AWAY! I protested to no avail. we left promising to review here...

This is a very good option for a casual French meal in an interesting and wel-frequented neighbourhood near the Pantheon.

The menu has something for everyone, from foie gras and escargots to tartare (their specialty) and burgers, to salads. I really enjoyed my generous Nicoise salad. And the crème brûlée at the next table looked great (and I overheard them telling the waiter how good it was).

Good value. Home style French cooking. More about the taste and value than fine presentation. The decor is dated, and it’s super cosy, but in a comfortable way - and that adds to the charm!

A small yet cozy bistro with a rustic feel. We started with Viennese coffee(coffee with whipped cream on top) and scallop risotto. I had never had such a well-cooked scallop before. For our main dishes we had cassoulet and steak with fries and salad. The cassoulet was something new but it didn't disappoint. The steak was a bit on the rarer side(I had asked for medium rare) but it was okay. The sauce that came with it was very good. The apple pie was unlike any I've had before but definitely the best. Recommend getting the meal set as it is worth the price. I also recommend the Viennese coffee. The bathroom is quite dark and a bit cramped.

Certainly what we imagine to be French rustic. But it was good food with good service. Looked like they catered for kids as well which probably means they know their market. Food was favourable and wholesome portions. Being Scottish it would have been a crime not to have the black pudding (blood pudding). We mixed with the snails and didn't regret. And the steak tata nearly finished us both off but we both squeezed in desserts. Staff excellent thru out. Very reasonable prices for the food and drink provided.
