Great place! Creative & delicious food for a reasonable price - especially for lunch.
Details: We (2 people) took two lunch menus ("formule déjeuner"), one of them included only a starter and a main course (28 €), while the other included a starter, a main course, and a dessert (34 €). For starters we had the "Tartare de noix de veau" (Veal & nuts tartare) and the "Coquille Saint Jacques (Bretagne)" (Scallops). For the main courses we had the "Cuisse de pintade" (Fine fowl legs) and the "Poisson du jour" (Fish of the day). Finally, for the dessert we took the "Gorgonzola crémeux" (Creamy gorgonzola).
All of the starters and main courses were delicious - there is no question that each of them individually deserves 5 stars. In addition, I found all of the dishes quite original and creative, as well as beautifully presented, which is something you wouldn't necessarily expect from the way some of the dishes are named. The creativity and presentation of the dishes deserves mention because it's one of the things that distinguishes a good restaurant from a talented amateur chef: Could a talented amateur chef cook something tasty at home? Sure, with some effort. (Though it would still not be quite as tasty as the food that we had at Narro.) Could a talented amateur chef come up with meals that are as creative and beautiful as the dishes at Narro? Almost certainly not.

Read moreAmazing dining experience. First of all, let's salute the French-Japanese couple in charge of this amazing project. They are kind, warm and smart (they know how to talk to patrons, entertain yet let everyone enjoy their meal) and also note that "Narro" does not mean anything (I asked the couple), it is just an easy word to pronounce. We came with our 15-year old son, for a special occasion, and we were overwhelmed with savors and flavors, for a very reasonable cost (see bill attached). We chose all 3 appetizers (mozzarella, tomato tart, egg). Light and flavor-full, pea mousse, elevated tastes. we all tried each other's dish. The egg was particularly creative and fascinating. With the main dish, we went with the fish + veal. The veal was so tender I could not believe it. The fish was fine and dressed with a light sauce and courgettes. For dessert, we had the cookie dough and peach compote with fresh berries. Great way to wash out this wonderful meal. What a fantastic meal overall. Icing on the cake, pun unintended, is the bubbly water offered for free. I encourage everyone to run and try this wonderful, new and innovative, French cuisine restaurant. You won't be...

Narro may be a small restaurant: but the focus here is a on strong flavours mixing French techniques and Japanese elements.
I took the 3 course lunch set for 36 euros.
Started off with the starter: artichoke cream with a perfect poached egg, smoked eel and straw emulsion. What a unique combination, and it worked beautifully. It’s the kind of dish where you just think « I have no idea how this can work, but it does ».
The for the main course: duck. Perfectly cooked and extremely soft, paired with a rich red wine reduction. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this duck was as tender as the duck at Michelin-started restaurants. The Mont-d’Or (French cheese) foam was interesting and helped cut through the carrot mash.
For dessert, I had to take the half baked cookie dough. This one hit straight home: both crispy on the top, melty on the bottom, with vanilla ice cream, home made salted caramel and caramelised peanuts. Nothing pretentious, such a decadent and satisfying dessert. The perfect way to end the meal.
A very hot spot in Paris: make sure to book ahead as it’s often fully booked days in advance....
