For my wife and me, La Causerie was our last dinner during our first visit to Paris and it was the best way to end our trip. It was casual, yet upscale and refined. The food was familiar, but innovative at the same time. I was beyond impressed with every dish and every single bite. The menu changes regularly as was evident by the chalkboard menu that was brought around the room.

We started out with a seafood tartare and tuna pâté. The tartare was very light, refreshing, and reminiscent of a ceviche while the pâté was a different take on traditional liver-based pâtés. Main plates were the fish of the day (couldn't tell you what kind of fish, but t'was tasty) and the veal. Both were cooked to perfection -- fish was light and flaky with a crispy skin while the veal was moist and tender with a great sear. The meal was finished off with what seemed like a next-level cream puff and a chocolate tarte (certainly an over-simplification of what these desserts actually were, but hey, I don't speak French and have no clue what the menu said). One thing I know for sure is that these desserts epitomize the artistry of French pastries.

Overall, the service was impeccable and the food has me drooling all over again as I write this. The experience was some of the best Paris has to offer top-to-bottom and is listed on the Michelin guide for a reason. Whenever I come back to Paris, I'll definitely be adding this to the...

Not worth it. I have been wanting to try this place for a while, food was not bad,not at the level of prices, though acceptable, but the total experience in a restaurant was disappointing...it started with the waitress rushing us to decide on the food choice and wine in first 3 min while we were seated not letting us exchange a word with each other and continued with the owner of restaurant who seemed to be having friends at the table next to ours and completely disregarded us,talking so loud with people at the table while standing at the back of one of us,we couldn't hear each other,at some point he was so loud with his friends that the noise went up to 92 dB according to apple watch(95 dB is considered a night club noise). Zero professionalism. Also found the light in the restaurant depressing,it almost had none, one could barely see what's in the plate. Spoiled dinner with an old time friend. Definitely not going back. 3 stars is only...

Before booking the table you need to understand that the owner doesn't like tourists. The food is good, in some moments just regular. But the owner (the man) is very, very rude.

In addition to the general mockery that we are stupid people who don't understand French, he pushed me several times with the door and aggressively threw my wife's phone off the drink card to take it, which was trying to translate the handwritten French menu. There were many other moments where we were forced to use dirty cutlery to eat our main dishes after the starters. When the French guests had a change of cutlery on their tables.

My recommendation to the owner: if you don't want tourists in your restaurant, just write "tourists are not welcome."

We have a huge list of restaurants to visit in Paris - please don’t think your restaurant are...
