We stopped here because it was raining, we were hungry, and we were carrying luggage after just arriving from the train station. I would have rather gone hungry.
The service was terrible. The hostess did not understand any English (ironic since the radio in the back was playing American pop music) and I'm not sure if that affected her attitude toward us, but she acted as though we were a huge inconvenience to her by being there. After ordering Eau (water) it was delivered ten minutes later after the waitress finished doing whatever she felt like first. There was only two other people in their and they were already eating. The waitress set every other table but left ours without napkins.
The restaurant isn't the nicest looking, and the menus have prices covered up with new price stickers (a sign of a restaurant cutting corners to me).
The food was gross, but not bad enough where I spit it out. I ordered tortellini con carne and the inside was like a dry meat/cheese that tasted like cat food which had been left out. And it was ridiculously expensive and small portions. It was about a cup of tortellini...
Read moreThere are two sides to this review. On the positive side the quality of the pizzas are high. They are made fresh, the bases are thin and the toppings taste great. I would recommend as a good option for a takeaway pizza. However the service as a restaurant has a lot to be desired. After we were seated it was very difficult to place an order and we had to repeatedly try to get the attention of the waitress. We ordered appetisers and a main course - the main course came out a minute after the appetiser which we’d barely had time to start. No plates were provided, which given we were sharing the meals, made it difficult to eat. Throughout the meal and after we were never asked whether everything was okay or if we needed anything. Finally after taking our card payment at the table the waitress just walked off with no thank you or any pleasantries.
While we were not expecting Michelin level service there are basic levels of courtesy you would find even...
Read moreMy first time eating in Paris, and it couldn’t have been better! Since the very first moment I walked through the door I was greeted with the most beautiful welcoming smile from the madame with black hair. She seated me and my partner quickly and with kindness she took our order. The service was as fast as it could be, and when the food arrived.. it exceeded our expectations! We were served a delicious pasta à pommodoro and a lasagne filled to the brim with tomato sauce and a lot of flavor. The consistency and texture were simply divine. We got some complementary grated cheese, some bread that resembled foccacia and a well rounded, fresh seasoned salad. The prices were lovely as they could be and we left feeling fulfilled, and happy as the environment and staff hospitality was simply parfait! Will definitely come back sooner or later and I wish all the best to the restaurant and the workers!...
