The ambience was nice, very French. I was really hungry and asked for recommendations for meat. So I got entrecote. The waiter was kind to substitute french fries with a salad, which was good. The entrecote was at the same time unfortunately not chewable at all. When I asked the waiter whether that's ok, the response( with very unsatisfied face) was that it's because I asked for medium, and they could do steak instead. When the steak was served I could hardly cut it,let alone chew it - the fork simply didn't even go inside the meat. The waiter didn't even check whether food was good, but when I said I wanted to pay, he started nervously asking what's again, and from the third attempt he managed to somehow cut a piece of meat. With such efforts he put for cutting I bet he could have cut the table in parallel. I don't know who would sacrifice their teeth to chew the meat that is completely not chewable. At the end of the day I was hungry, I paid for the meat I could never bite and instead of apologies I got the grumpy waiter mumbling in French to the bartender, saying I have never tried proper meat or proper French restaurant. Well, I feel sorry that gentleman has never tried proper meat, that is melting in one's mouth and not feels like rubber boot. The bartender tried to make my experience better, suggesting to fry the meat more, but I couldn't give it a third chance with such an...
Read more"I dined here with my family three years ago and had a wonderful experience, which is why we decided to return. However, this recent visit will be our last. The quality of the food has significantly declined. The beef tartare no longer comes with an egg, and the steak and fries, priced at 17.50 euros, were disappointingly bad. Our waitress failed to inquire about our preferred steak doneness, resulting in an overcooked, nearly inedible meal as depicted in the photo. When we requested a replacement, the chef served us a raw steak, as shown in the picture.Furthermore, when we provided feedback about the undercooked steak, another waiter conveyed our concerns to the chef, who appeared displeased with our comments. If the kitchen can't consistently prepare food to customers' satisfaction, it's best to reconsider their menu. This experience was a letdown, especially since my family and I were eagerly anticipating a special meal after the pandemic. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet our expectations, and at 17.50 euros, it was simply not worth it. We won't...
Read moreWe discovered this little gem last time we were in Paris, after wandering around craving some honest and simple food. We loved it, and the food, so we've gone back several times.
The food was as great last night as it usually is. Last time we were there the menu had a few more French classics on the menu, with the choice being a little bit more modern this time. Two of us had the wonderful carnard confit, and all of us managed to squeeze in dessert. We missed the Baba au Rhum, which our friendly waiter told us would be back on the menu in a month - so for those going, make sure you encourage them to keep it on the menu in future!
All in all, a classic gem with an...
