DO NOT COME HERE! If I could leave zero stars I could. Some of the worst treatment I’ve had in Paris at a restaurant. The waiter was so incredibly rude, slamming down plates and during the order was acting as if we were an inconvenience. We very calmly gave our food orders and then after some time were given out appetizers which were delicious. But all of the sudden the waiter came over and yelled in my face about saying that I ordered something else which I simply said no. He stormed off and then I came back, reached over my shoulder, and started cutting my food for my, telling me that this is the best part of the artichoke before then pouring French dressing over it and leaving. I was in complete shock as I was planning to have it boxed since I wanted to save room for my entree. The rest of my group called him over and asked to see the manager, and he was very rude with us over the issue. After leaving, he stopped servicing our table so I proceeded to sit for some time without receiving my entrée, while the rest of my table had already received since they gotten it before the dilemma arose. It took the manager coming over asking if I wanted my entree before I got my meal, and it was cold. We tried to talk to him but the manager was curt and did not want to ask us what the issue was or anything. The group decided to call it a day, since we had already payed and left. The same waiter that had treated me so rudely then chased us down the street saying that the bill was to be 30 euros more because he didn’t change my order choice. Overall, I would consider myself a generally calm and not easy to anger individual, but this was unacceptable. The food was decent and not worth this treatment. I repeat…go find another place to eat. Paris is a beautiful hub of amazing options with Managers that actually give a care when their wait staff is mistreating their customers. PS: the...

I really like Le Bosquet, and have had several excellent lunches here and a few dinners, mostly outside on their nice terrace. This week I had dinner in the interior (outdoors being a bit chilly that night) with two visiting friends who are English speakers. The waitstaff who helped us were fluent in English, very charming, patient with our indecisions, and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Loved them, and the recommended selection of Lalande wine. The kitchen made us small green salads on request. My seabass with ratatouille was delicious. One of my friends had the lamb chops. They looked a bit large (more like mutton?) and a bit fatty. Our other friend had escargots and a steak with frites that she enjoyed. Our profiteroles were served in an unusual manner: several scoops of ice cream inside one massive cream puff that looked more like a wide clamshell pancake, rather than the usual small choux pastry puffs. But the chocolate sauce was copious, dark and quite good. The atmosphere on our night was a bit noisy, mainly due to a loud American man sitting not far from us, and the buzz of a work group at the bar celebrating their rentrée. The place is impeccably clean. It does have a lot of glass and metal in the interior that amplifies sound. I will certainly return, but might wait for a quieter off season evening, or another evening when it is warm enough to sit outside. Overall, heartily...

I really wanted to like this place, perhaps our experience was an outlier.. food was okay. Service left something to be desired for sure. I don’t speak French, a few other languages also but not French. Our server only spoke French, which is 100% fine but she was the only person that didn’t speak English, feels strange to me to not have someone help us when the owner is two tables away giving his 100% attention to another 2 couples. At one point our server doesn’t understand and he does a fly by in French of what we want. So he knows the difficulty we’re having, does the minimum and leaves. The part that really frustrated me is that I ordered a beef filet, since she can’t communicate with us, she can’t ask how I’d like the steak cooked, to which she assumes Well Done… needless to say it ruined the steak, it would have been better off being a wallet. Food was overcooked and tough.

All in all, a bit of an obnoxious experience. Our server was nice and she tried her best, my main is issue in fairness to her, was 2 of 3 service staff spoke English, the owner knows it and still has the one who doesn’t, help us. Never-mind the conversation that was being had, desperate for relevancy… wouldn’t...

We saw some good reviews and thought we should try this place on our last evening in Paris as it was walking distance from our hotel. Sadly, it was extremely unpleasant. From the moment we've been seated, the waiter treated us as a burden, made us get up and move tables (from a small table for 2 to another), and then he changed his mind. The place was not busy, so we never understood what that was about, but of course, we were open to all suggestions. There was another red flag when a couple entered, sat, and suddenly just left, we had already ordered. Otherwise, we had the same feeling as not the best place to be.. We ordered the oysters, smocked salmon with toasted bread and butter to share, and creme broule. And 2 glassed of Chardonnay. We only enjoyed the oysters. We were disappointed by the salmon, which was like a packed supermarket slice of salmon, with dry old bread 😕 and a slice of lemon, with the label on ( therefore not even washed) I can't believe how we spent 61€ on this dinner, which we could have had in the hotel room from the supermarket at the corner... Extremely disappointed, we would not recommend it at all. With all the great restaurants in Paris, please avoid the disappointment.

Honestly kinda wish I could give less. The food was ok don’t get me wrong, although I don’t have too much experience with French food, it was the service. I know that French waiters are notoriously rude but this guy took the cake. From the moment we came he was really rude. He was snapping his pen on his pad as we were trying to tell him what we wanted, rolled his eyes, acted extremely impatient, and walked away before we were even done ordering. He made me so anxious that I messed up with my order and had to call him back. He looked so angry too. His demeanor exhibited impatience and discourtesy. After our meal he had the audacity to actually request a tip. We know that European waiters receive service payments included in the price but he insisted we provide a tip. Essentially he was trying to take advantage of us. It was ridiculous especially since he was such a terrible waiter. If you are ever in Paris, I highly recommend skipping this place.
