I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gusto Italia 218, a charming Italian restaurant located near the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. As a lover of Italian cuisine, I was excited to try this establishment and experience the flavors of Italy in the heart of the City of Light. I must say, Gusto Italia 218 exceeded my expectations and provided a truly delightful dining experience.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The interior was tastefully decorated, with a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern elegance. The soft lighting and cozy seating arrangements created a welcoming atmosphere that was ideal for an intimate dinner or a gathering with friends and family.
Moving on to the culinary aspect, the menu at Gusto Italia 218 showcased a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, each prepared with attention to detail and an emphasis on authentic flavors. From classic pasta dishes to delectable pizzas and mouthwatering seafood options, there was something to satisfy every palate. The ingredients used were of the highest quality, and it was evident that the kitchen team took great pride in their craft.
I started my culinary journey with a plate of bruschetta, and the flavors immediately transported me to the sun-drenched streets of Italy. The bread was perfectly toasted, topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. The balance of flavors was exquisite, and it set the tone for the rest of the meal.
For the main course, I opted for their signature homemade pasta, and I was not disappointed. The pasta was cooked to perfection, al dente, and the accompanying sauce was rich and flavorful. It was evident that the pasta was made with care and expertise. Each bite was a delightful experience that left me craving more.
To complement my meal, I chose a glass of Italian red wine recommended by the knowledgeable staff. The wine selection at Gusto Italia 218 was impressive, with a range of options to suit different preferences. The staff's expertise in suggesting pairings further enhanced the dining experience.
The service throughout my visit was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and well-informed about the menu. They were more than willing to answer any questions and accommodate special requests. The timing of the courses was well-coordinated, allowing for a leisurely dining experience without any unnecessary delays.

Read moreThis establishment clearly doesn’t need business. I sat with my wife at a table for around 10 minutes with the waiter/ manager or whoever it was not bothered to attend to us as well as the couple next to us. I finally walked in and again he tried to ignore me. I went to him and he blurted out something in French... asked him for English ... and he abruptly tells me that he will only take our order in 10 minutes because they were busy and then he just walks off. I’ve never heard of something this ridiculous in my life...!!! Bear in mind that he didn’t even bother to find out if we wanted something to drink. Pathetic....!!! how people like this get work in the service industry is beyond me.....and in a city like Paris where there is good food and plenty of choice on every corner.... I just walked to the pizza place right next to it around the corner and we ordered there and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food...... I was soon followed by another couple also forced to wait for zero service... good to see people vote with their...
Read moreAmazing restaurant, at 10 minutes walking distance from the Eiffel tower. It's a small but buzzing restaurant with very kind staff. We called ahead to reserve a place and upon arrival, we were glad we did because the place was already pretty full.
We sat down and ordered some drinks, they have an Italian beer (Peroni) which I would recommend, it is has a nice soft and refreshing taste.
We received a french menu, not sure if they don't have an english one but with the help of Google Lens we got the translation sorted. Adds a bit to the atmosphere in my opinion.
The pizza's got served rather quickly and they even sliced it for the children. They also got us a bottle of spicy oil to put on the pizza, if we'd like to. Usually these kind of oils are not that special, but in this restaurant it was excellent! It added even more flavor to the pizza and was just the right amount spicy.
If you're near the Eiffel tower and fancy a pizza, I would suggest to go to...
