Arrived at the restaurant around 2:30pm. There were few customers sitting in different parts of this spacious restaurant. The decorations were nice and welcoming.

We were welcome with a warm smile at the front desk and shown to our table at a corner facing the subway station. Another waiter took order. Yet another waiter attended to us. All was good until our main dish orders were recorded wrongly.

Three of us. We ordered oysters, two steaks and one fish. We specifically stated the doneness of the beef.

After we finished with the oysters, we were served the cutleries of our main dishes. We were given cutleries for one steak and two fish.

We told our waiter that we ordered two steaks and one fish. He went to the machine to check. He wasn't the one who took our order though. And what was shocking was he just ignored our query and pretended nothing happened.

We were served one steak and two fish dishes. We didn't argue as we had communication barriers. Language, race, culture, etc.

But the dishes were tasty. I ordered a steak, but given a fish. The fish was good. Hence one star rating. Otherwise, no star.

The desserts, creme brulee and floating island were average.

When we asked for drinking water, pointing to the one jug of water on the table of another patrons, the waiter wanted to get that bottle of water to serve us. I guessed he was joking. But he looked so serious. I couldn't be sure.

Then when we were given the check, he told us he was going home after that. Signalling that we should pay him soon?

I really wondered why such bad attitudes. No apologies for getting the...

It’s been almost more than 18 years that whenever we visit the City of Love , Paris : we visit Congress and enjoy their exquisite seafood platter. After Covid hitting worldwide , as most of the world lockdown , we decided to revisit beautiful Paris & our nostalgic Congress. Our last day in Paris visiting Congress we were greeted by a Very Very Very rude so called Manager ‘Mark’ ; a Short unfriendly , impolite Manager who refused to move our table and harshly told us all tables were reserved….. we decided to walk away but after I personally raised my voice & told him how impolite he treated us …. He changed his volume and decided to give us a far away table inside while most good tables were vacant !!! So called Short Mark , an Algerian who refused to answer us in Arabic , should be Fired …. Remember Clients & Customers always come first ! On the other hand our waiter ; Lorenzo was a super friendly waiter who served us v well the whole eve ! Food wise it’s fine but the greeting Manager, Mark is Zero zero zero & beyond Impolite . I am surprised that such an old establishment employs rude &...

Quality of food, price and service- Le congress port maillot achieves full mark on all those 3 elements , and when it comes as a rating of a restaurant, you can't get better than this. We were 4 people and we chose the 40 euro menu fix price (repas). You get kir ,to start with, bread, 3 course meal, white or red wine, and tea or coffee. The 6 huitres (oysters) and the jambon pate as starters were good, but the confi duck and the beef as main course were even better, and came in a very large and generous portions. To finish it off, most of us went for the cheese (fromage ) on offer ,which had a variety of 4-5 kind of cheese ,all were good quality and generous portions, even compared to other restaurants in Paris. The chocolate mousse was also very tasty. You won't get better deal for such quality food, especially in Paris. Our waiter was very kind, professional, who took care to add bread and butter even without asking him to do that All in all, a very satisfying meal of what the french cuisine has to offer. We will...

“Seafood platter, what a joke” Our first time in France and around the corner from our hotel we passed by this restaurant a couple of times, we could see that seafood was on the menu and thought we'd dine here. Well we wished we didn't as the food was terrible, we ordered the seafood platter thinking we would have a really nice meal, all the shell fish was over cooked and dry, the scampi had not been cleaned of the poo line, to me it seemed that the shell fish had been prepared well in advance and had dried out while in the fridge, what a waste of good produce, we were not happy. The service was unusual but then having never been to France I just thought that was the norm.

Was well greeted by very friendly staff and were very kind. Was delighted to see that they have an English menu too. Been in France for a week and finally had a chance to try a French Onion Soup. Was quite disappointed as it didn’t have enough flavour which I felt could have been much better. I had the pan fried seabass in a beurre blanc sauce. The fish was well cooked, but it had a mild fishy taste which could have been better. The saving grace which was really really good were their mashed potatoes. With a nice atmosphere, it is a decent place that I would recommend to try. Perhaps I might have been a bit unlucky with my choices.

Went here with my wife on a Sunday evening. Best dinner I've ever had. The fish soup with large homemade crusty bread (croutons?) was an excellent start to an amazing meal. Roasted salmon on a bed of risotto was perfectly cooked, flaky and incredibly delicious. My wife got the Chateaubriand steak which was the best steak I've ever had. Rare with a deep red center, it melted in your mouth and was seasoned and cooked perfectly. To end it I had the "floating praline" which was a large dallop of substantial meringue topped with praline and nuts on top of a liquid custard "lake", delicious. My favorite restaurant in Paris!
