It's a rare occasion when a restaurant can provide excellence in service, ambiance, and food (across the menu, from starters to desserts.) Le Jardin Saint Germain hits 5 stars in each of these areas! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here, and we couldn't have had a better experience! The owner, Christian, was so warm and welcoming. He remembered us stopping by earlier in the day to confirm our reservation. (I suggest doing this if you're able. There have been some issues with online reservation platform in early spring/summer). When we returned, Christan greeted us by name, and seated us immediately. The talented chef, Shaan, is able to make an intricate dish appear simple and unfussy, but when we tasted the first bite, we knew it was prepared with heart and expertise to achieve a level of excellence. The escargot was amazing, and we were grateful for extra bread to continue enjoying the leftover garlicky butter sauce. My sea bass was perfection. My husband was extremely pleased with his duck confit. We couldn't decide between desserts, so we shared the Brownie Chocolat and Pain Perdu. No regrets there! Extra touch was the sparkling candle and the restaurant joining in to sing to us. Despite their busy evening, Christian and Shaan both took time to talk with us, topping off an amazing night. If you are looking to get away from the packed streets of Paris and want to level up your dining experience, you will find peaceful refuge in the cozy setting and culinary treat Le Jardin Saint Germain offers. Look for the purple entrance. You will be delighted...
Read moreWe went here to celebrate our parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and my sister and I wanted to surprise them with a special lunch. We stumbled upon this perfect place – a small, charming restaurant that made the day even more magical.
The restaurant is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. We were served by Christian, one of the owners, and Chef Shaan, who is also a co-owner, came out multiple times during our meal to check on us, adding such a personal touch. Both Christian and Shaan are super friendly, and their genuine warmth and kindness made the meal feel extra special. The food? Out of this world. Every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor – one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! And don’t miss out on the desserts – they’re a must-try!
We wanted to return before leaving Paris, but the restaurant was supposed to be closed on Monday. To our surprise, Christian and Shaan messaged us saying they’d decided to open the restaurant for us on that day! We returned, tried more dishes from the menu, and again, everything was phenomenal. I'm a vegetarian, and Shaan prepared a special dish just for me, and it was the best vegetarian meal I’ve ever had!
If you’re seeking a special dining experience, this is the place to go. I can’t recommend it enough. Christian and Shaan have created something truly special, and they absolutely deserve a Michelin star for their amazing food and...
Read moreWe travelled to Paris for a very special celebration: victory against cancer and having the renewed opportunity to appreciate and enjoy life.
After a lot of research, we chose this restaurant for our celebration and had an unforgettable dining experience in the most charming place! The restaurant is in a quaint little alley with an inviting entrance and is adorned with 400 year old wood beams on the ceiling.
The food was exquisite and Michelin star worthy. We had the calamari, escargot, duck confit, belle entrecôte beef, chateaubriand beef, the brownie and the pain perdu. We were so excited to eat that we forgot to take more photos. The desserts, inspired by the Chef’s creations as a previous pastry chef at Ralph Lauren, were absolutely delicious and a must!
The service was impeccable! We will never forget how we were treated by Christian, Chef Shaan and their staff. The thoughtfulness, kindness and heart from these incredible individuals permeates through every dish and interaction here. This was also by far the best food we had in Paris. Merci Beaucoup! You will be the first restaurant we will return to if we are lucky enough to be...
