Visited this place with two friends that recommended it.
The decor is catchy and joyful, the place offers seating outside and inside. The outside seating is nice comfortable and nicely furnished. The inside seating is a bit crowded and looks like a fast food diner seating. It really underestimate the place
We came around 11 am they gave us the breakfast menu we ordered 2 french breakfasts and 2 english breakfast. They started with drinks and then food came right after. We were then waiting for the croissant( which fones with what we ordered) to be served and waited so long at the end until when the manager came to say that actually they doubled our bread as no croissant was available. The waiter never said that while serving the food leaving us expecting the croissants.in addition the bread portion was not that big so we expected it was what comes with the breakfast combo. On the other hand the scrambled eggs and bacon were tasty. Generally portion is average I would say. At the end I had to order a nutella waffle because I only had my hot chcolate and juice and was waiting for the croissant which never came.I didnt want to have baguette butter and Jam which I thought were extras anyway. The waffle was not bad it lacked flavor but it was warm and crunchy.
Service: generally staff were welcoming and friendly especially the manager except the guy that served us he was rude in his body language , seemed unwelcoming and avoident. And I think he should have said the croissants are not available so I change the order.
Price wise we paid 35 euros for 4 people which is quite fair
Ps: i didnt take good pics as I was so hungry that I ate my waffle...
Read moreI honestly don’t understand how this restaurant has 12,000 reviews with a 4.8-star rating. It was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
We decided to visit after seeing the glowing reviews and beautiful photos of the restaurant. From the outside, it does look just as charming as in the pictures, but that’s where the positives end. The real disappointment was the food and service.
First, the waiter completely messed up our order—we asked for three omelets but only received two. While the service itself was okay, the food was a major letdown. The croissant and baguette were good, but the espresso tasted burnt. As for the omelets, they were incredibly bland. The cheese omelet was completely flavorless (I’d give it zero stars), and the ham omelet was slightly better, which is the only reason I’m giving this place two stars instead of one.
The worst part, however, was the bathroom. As you can see in the pictures, it was in terrible condition—comparable to what you’d find at a gas station.
Fun fact: After our visit, I read a review mentioning that English-speaking guests were seated near the toilets. Coincidentally, that’s exactly where we were...
Read moreWent there after the Gay Games opening day walk, or I guess you can call it a parade. So after the event there were lots of people hanging around in le Marais, as you might imagine it would be for a fairly busy afternoon. We were lured in by the rainbow umbrellas out front so we decided to spend the afternoon on the terrace people watch, like Parisians do.
We got our drinks fairly quickly, though 20 minutes after we've order we still haven't received our food. It was nothing fancy, just a grill cheese (croque monsieur) and a salad. I don't usually hurry the server but when tables around us all got seated after we did, AND have received their food first, I had to wave down a server. "oui oui c'arrive!". 20 minutes later, the other tables who seated after us have finished their food and were getting their bills, I had to wave down the host, or possibly the owner. Minutes later our food had finally arrived, after an hour since sitting down. We were no longer hungry...
