Things started out ok, snobby waiter (kind of expected… Paris), the cute little side walk bistro; very French. We thought we were off to a pretty good start the champagne was great and our first try of escargot went well. The escargot was delicious, far better than expected. And we must have picked the wrong menu items… my husband ordered sausage. He got some sort of offal hahaha, and I ordered chicken; what I received must have been drying out in an oven for a couple of hours. I tried to pick the few morsels of chicken off the bone that weren’t withered and dried to a crisp, but there wasn’t much. The chips were good luckily.

We enjoyed Le Mazarin so much we ate here twice! The charcuterie and cheese board was plentiful with a good selection of meats and cheeses. The waitstaff helped us to order and made sure we enjoyed the food and the beers. On the second visit, the boss even gifted us drinks at the end of our meal. While the food and beer were both very good, it was the people who made our experience so memorable, specifically the two gentlemen who waited on us and the owner, who was so delightfully exuberant!

We dropped in to Le Mazarin randomly while walking past from Museum d’Orsay. To be honest, our selection criteria was “do the heaters outside work.” We ordered the charcuterie Board and a couple of drinks. The board was good value and flavour with a few really meat selections. Pity we stuffed ourselves with too much baguette which was fresh and lovely. The andouillette really threw me - I had to ask what it was and when I looked it up, it made perfect sense. All up, and excellent outing.

Racist and rude owner and staff. From the moment we arrived the owner was uninterested in serving us, he signaled to us in disgust to get out of the way. Even then, we decided to enter with our group of 9.

Because we had a pram, we sat at two different tables to accomodate the pram, but the owner started rudely arguing with us, that he had other customers, that we move that he wont have us there, all that whilst shouting and the waiter laughing.

We decided to leave, without...
