We had a diner in this restaurant on the 11 of June 2024. Live jazz music and food were nice, we enjoyed it, the staff was friendly. However, the service was significantly lower than the one can expect: The waitress brought all our dishes at once. We had 5 since before ordering she shared with us that they’re small and it’s better to take 2 for each. They hardly fit the table and bread even had to go on a windowsill next to us. When we asked her if it’s possible to bring us the dishes one after another, after discussing with the manager, she said that it’s possible only for two of them. Unfortunately, these were the cold ones, which we already started to eat, so there was no sense in it. As the result, hot dishes were almost room temperature when we tasted them. After some time, we found a kind of a trash bin next to our table. It contained a few pieces of something resembling cut nails and a napkin. it was removed with an excuse after we asked for it. My wife had a birthday of which I informed the manager. Usually, you expect from the restaurant to bring a small compliment for such an occasion, maybe just a candle on a desert you order. It was the first place I’ve ever visited where nothing happened. As an apology for the trash bin discovered they deducted the cost of a glass of wine from our bill. However, the waitress didn’t bring us a change after we payed in cash. Actually, it was just 4 euros, so not a big deal. Nevertheless again, I’d expect different treatment from any place I visit.
In my opinion that's the worst service I've ever encountered in my life.
Summarising, probably, I can recommend this place for an evening cocktail while listening to some jazz music. Even in this case be ready to experience some outstandingly...
Read moreWe were looking for a nice place for a meal, drinks and jazz near our hotel off the Champs Élysées. The reviews of Le Melville seemed promising, as well as the food and drink offerings. As a bonus, they have live performances of different varieties based on the day of the week - trios, piano, bossa nova and world music.
We found the space to be an excellent use of space. While we were seated in the upper area away from the stage, the sound carried well back to our area. This allowed us to converse while still being able to hear the performance well. The trio was very talented and worked well with the audience.
The food is an excellent selection of tapas. We chose the black and white hummus, the oriental skewer and the Le Melville take on a croque monsieur with truffle oil. They were all very good. We had the pear and pomegranate pavlova and the our chocolate bar. They were both flavorful with quality and unique ingredients like chia seeds, passion fruit drizzle and creatively used squash.
The cocktails were excellent. I had the Hedy Lamar. It was refreshing with depth of flavor. My husband had a glass of wine and really enjoyed it.
The ambiance was very cozy, with attention to detail. In the upper area there were collections of vinyl, vintage magazines and livres de poche. There was also vintage glassware.
Well worth the visit for a nice dinner or drinks where you can linger and enjoy music while still being able to enjoy your dinner companions.

Read moreReally wanted to enjoy this place but unfortunately the atmosphere and service let us down. Maybe it was an off night, but we ordered a few plates to share as was suggested, and then our waitress sat by the bar on her phone and we never received our food. Over an hour later, a different waitress came over to clear our utensils since we didn’t appear to need them, and we reported that we were still waiting to eat. She was confused and kindly went to check, came back and said our order was never submitted to the kitchen. We understand mistakes happen, but the restaurant is tiny, we were two of only maybe 25 guests in the whole place, and by the time we were addressed the musical performance was almost complete. The second waitress was nice about it, but the original server never apologized and no effort was made to compensate the experience- she brought our check for drinks in full and didn’t acknowledge the mistake. Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend this place - other jazz clubs we visited in Paris were much...
