Terrible Dining Experience and Discriminatory Service

I recently brought my parents to Paris for a vacation, and we had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we started ordering, we were treated rudely. Despite clearly stating that we needed more time to review the menu, the waiter kept pushing us to order quickly. We ended up pointing to the menu items since we don't speak French, but they still got our order wrong and brought us a cold cuts platter that was more expensive and very unpleasant to eat.

When ordering steak, the waiter showed a lack of professionalism by not asking about our preferred doneness, resulting in an inedible steak. The roast chicken was very dry and of poor quality. The service was highly unprofessional throughout. After ordering, we waited for a lengthy 30 minutes, only to have the main course, appetizers, and desserts served all at once. Even though the table was already crowded, they did not realize this was a foolish decision. Despite being very hungry, we couldn't stomach the poorly prepared food.

At the end of the meal, when the waiter asked if we were satisfied, I expressed our dissatisfaction and outlined the issues mentioned above. The waiter's attitude remained unchanged, and he deflected responsibility by saying that his Chinese friends are like this, a completely wrong and discriminatory assumption. Why did he assume we were from China, and why did he think Chinese people should be treated this way? Even if some people have a preference for this order of serving, it shouldn't be generalized.

After voicing these concerns, a black waiter apologized, but his attitude was insincere. Then, a white waiter came over, chatting with the black waiter in French right in front of us, with a smirk on his face, making us feel it was a deliberate provocation and an act of racial discrimination.

This dining experience was extremely poor, and I would never come back or recommend this...

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK FRENCH. This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. We had one person in our group who spoke French and he asked what the special of the day was (IN FRENCH) to which the manager responded it was steak with fries for 24 Euros. We each ordered the plate. We were treated with utter disrespect because 3/4 members of our group were English speaking. One person in our group was not given cutlery and a plate while two members in our group were not given cups. They also brought all other tables bread while not giving our table. When I asked the waiter “Why did you not bring our table bread?” He looked at me and smirked while saying “no English” At the end, nobody was coming to our table, so we respectfully left our 96 Euros and told the manager. He embarrassed us in front of the entire restaurant telling us to come back inside and that we had not left enough. He explicitly stated that the special was 24 Euros each and forced us to pay...

Nice selection on the menu but food quality and taste is very average, close to a Bouillon in terms of tier. Only problem, you will spend between 50 and 70€ per person here and the waiters are pushing extra stuff so that you order more. Wine bottles are approximately 5-6x more expensive than their store shelf price.

Waiters are nice and professional but service for us was excruciatingly long (50 minutes to get served). Once again, staff is very nice except the owner who I saw insulting one of the waiters telling her to stop slacking off and start doing some work even though she spent the whole evening rushing left and right.

Word of advice, if you’re a tourist and wanna eat snails, go to bouillon chartier, it’s 14€, atmosphere is 10x better and you get...
