Totti — Restaurant in Paris

Last night was the fourth time that we visited Totti, our restaurant across the street. As before, the food was good, and the person serving us was attentive, professional and friendly. We appreciate this even more, as we do not speak French, and they make an effort to communicate with us, and make us feel at home. Now you would ask, why the three stars, and not 4 or 5. Unfortunately we were not treated well when we arrived. During previous bookings we were explicitly told that we cannot reserve a specific table. In the past we have learned that if we go earlier, we can get our table. Not last night. We reserved for 19:00. Our preferred table was free, but not available. When we questioned that, the reason offered was that it is being kept for friends of the restaurant. That table was eventually seated an hour later. Were they the friends of the restaurant, how would we ever know? This may be a small irritation for many people, but it left a bad taste and it took a while to start relaxing and enjoying our evening. Will we go back? ...

Booked a table for 10 on the 14th February at Totti in Paris. We arrived just a few minutes late, the table was beautifully set and waiting. Staff was very attentive and quick. Meals were lovely, from the little olives served with our pre dinner drinks to the main courses - pasta, calamari, veal - all the way to the lovely desserts (cafe gourmand!).A beautiful evening was had by all. The ladies at the table were all given fragrant red roses, to honour Valentines Day too!...

The dining experience at this restaurant was outstanding, featuring exceptionally well-prepared dishes and top-notch service. The ambiance, which seemed slightly kitsch in photos, revealed itself to be genuinely chic and tastefully decorated upon arrival.
